CFK said they can keep the ship but can't take, our freedommmmm etc etc like the dolt she is, but if she thought she was in the right, she wouldn't even say they can take anything, but say how many laws, if any, are being broken by this and taking it to court. She has no leg to stand on and knows she's in the wrong. Arrogant and proud to the last, she's a dick of the highest order.

In Chile the Navy have huge respect from the public. I am sure the Chilean cadets were embarrassed by the incident and it is good to see how respectfully they have been treated by their own government.

@7 yes there was a war it was the battle of Tema fought by the warship ARA Libertad and her brave crew, out numbered and out gunned they fought the law and the law one. 279 seamen escaped leaving some crew to fight a rear action (sounds gay) .This Victory(copy write Royal Navy, also see proper flagship) will never be written in world history but will be Argentina history adapted and altered for CFK as she see's fit.

Oct 25th, 2012 - 11:36 am - Link - Report abuse 0Well the way things are going the Ghanaian courts will just tell NML to take the ship and go. The crew will be ordered to leave. If they refuse they'll be arrested, and if necessary, forcibly removed.
The Captain of the ARA Libertad seems to be an honourable man who cares for the sailors under his command, so I expect that he'll go quitely to protect his crew from injury and prosecution.
Since Argentina has taken over Aerolineas Argentinas, shouldn't it also be able to confiscate their planes on international routes?

The crew then bravely escaped, and the Captain and 44 'volunteers' stayed behind to take the ship back. Unable to escape, the Captain bravely scuttled the ship to protect from the forces of Dr Evil.
Hey, I'm pretty good at this. I wonder if CFK would offer me a job? However, I only work for dollars, and I want paying up front!
However, it really does lack the suspense, action, drama and truth of the Battle of the Rive Plate.

I understand that the Brits absolutely hate everything Argentine because they had a 74 day war, but is anything off limits? Are the children just nits that grow into lice to the Brits? The Ghanaian courts are to hear a request from the port authority to move the ship as it is blocking a prime dock needed immediately. I suspect their request will be granted as there is no need for the local economy to suffer the sins of CFKC.

They were hosting crew from several countries and the ship was impounded. Ouch. They have my full sympathy as this is not their fault in any way. They have also seen CFKC blame everyone but herself and they must be nervous about further reprisals. They didn't sign up for this.

In fact they'd probably be upset because they'd have to put the credit cards away!
@15 I pondered this on other threads. Reason 1 against: Bad publicity of delaying civilians' returns or departures form vacations/business trips (but they're repomen so they already have bad reps). Reason 2 against: Not enough Aerolingas metal lands at airports where seizure by creditors is a likely outcome to make such a tactic profitable (if you look at their list of current destinations, they are very reliant on their Skyteam alliance partners once you leave Latin America and ST is far more centralized around AMS than One World or Star Alliance and they don't even land there and Skyteams' coverage of LatAm and Oceania is pretty sad compared to the other alliances).

2) no rise in your pay (again);
3) you had a great time in Ghana with the friendly girls;
4) you now know firsthand what a bunch of tossers are running the country;
5) did not understand what a vulture fund was until it took your ship and now you know what it is to be a deadbeat;
6) thought you had a career in the AG navy but now realise there are no working ships for you;
7) want a new passport from anywhere else so you don’t have to tell people you meet you are from AG;
No wonder they were crying. LOLs

Chris, I have sympathy for the crew and the average citizens of Argentina.
As things stand now, none of them will reach their potential individuals or as a nation.
However, it is up to them to get rid of CFK et al.
