Mercosur (the upper case is only there for grammatical reasons) is clearly an illegitimate organisation. Why does the world not condemn it and refuse to deal with it? A “trade organisation” interfering in the internal domestic constitutional affairs of another country? Fascism. A dictatorial tyranny. Given current “negotiations”, anyone with any input into the EU should do everything to ensure “negotiations” are ended. Not suspended. Terminated. With extreme prejudice. Refuse to trade with argieland, Brazil, Uruguay and Venezuela. Break off diplomatic relations. EU to argieland, Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela. Also relations between individual EU member states and argieland, Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela. Encourage the USA to do the same. Isolate them. Cripple them. Finish them!

1 Conqueror (#) Proof that Conqueror is an American living in Colorado or Washingtom state and is enjoying his new rights as a citizen to smoke Cannabis. With half of the foreign Corporations in the said countries being listed, breaking off relations would do them a lot of “good”.
Of the three former Presidents Vazques and Sanguinetti seem to have their feet on the ground. Battle, the one who went to the Casa Rosada crying and begging forgiveness for calling Argentines 'crooks', and Lacalle, an American wanabe, cannot tollerate the reality of Uruguays dependence on Argentina.
Sadly, the Uruguayan political system offers little choice for leadership as seen by these personalities.

    Sanguinetti is just another one.
As for the dependency, I'd say every day less. Proof is the Uruguayan economy improving desite less Argentine tourism.
We depend on eachother, politically though, not so much economically in the future, as should be.

Interesting to note that Argenwhina has unveiled a statue of Ho Chi Minh in Buenos Ayres.

Why is there no statue of Maggie?

No monuments to pirates and criminals in Latin America. Just a basic rule.

@ 9. Because Ho Chi Minh was such a saint.

The monument thing is creepy though; perhaps CFK identifies with the promotion of the HCM personality cult rampant in Vietnam today, including media suppression and old school communist state control in evidence.

Yes but he also killed a large number of his own people because they a difference of opinion. Any way the Argies should respect Maggie Thatcher more as she is responsible for brining down the Junta much earlier. Fact

All of these hasbeens seem to be sourgraping. Pity to see Vasquez darken the door of the Colorado HQ, the scene of many crimes no doubt. Hope the next Pres is from Pepe's wing of the FA...
