Currently confined to a two bedroom flat in a Buenos Aires city neighbourhood, just a few blocks away from the National Congress building, is Professor Paul Frampton, 69, from Kidderminster, who was recently sentenced in Argentina to four years and eight month imprisonment on drugs smuggling charges. Dec 09th, 2012 - 08:17 pm - Link - Report abuse 0so why now mercopress ??
he aint the first to be conned, and wont be the last,
drugs are nasty things, and many onnocents get caught up in the evil web,
hopefully he will learn from this.
I read about this. My first thought was the picture is of him in prison but it appears to be the apartment of his friend where he is living under house arrest.
Dec 09th, 2012 - 08:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I have no idea if he was duped or is guilty, not having seen the evidence, but his sentence seems light for drug smuggling and he doesn't have to serve it in prison. I would say he has been treated pretty well.
‘I am so angry with myself, with what has happened. I feel so bad.
Dec 09th, 2012 - 08:30 pm - Link - Report abuse 0something to do with internet dating ?
but perhaps they know he was duped and being very silly,
but the light sentence does suggest this,
no doubt it will come out in the wash.
either way dirty dick will learn his lesson, and stop chasing models.
Dec 09th, 2012 - 08:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0sound like a job for the SAS, the Americans do it enough with rogue nations. in and out as quick as can be Argenina will be none the wiser
Dec 09th, 2012 - 09:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Why? If he has committed a crime he should do the time. He is appealing and the court will decide.
Dec 09th, 2012 - 10:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I honestly don't think he has been treated badly.
He committed a crime. Though he claims he is innocent, those texts about drugs certainly did not help his cause if he is innocent. I don't know the evidence, but it does not look good on what he stated. SAS is a bit overboard for a crimnal act or blatant stupidity.
Dec 09th, 2012 - 11:08 pm - Link - Report abuse 0‘I wanted to string her along and sent a series of text messages, some of which referred to “sniffer dogs” and “coca”, and said, “This stuff is worth millions.”
Dec 10th, 2012 - 12:01 am - Link - Report abuse 0just goes to prove that high intelligence and common sense dont go together.
anybody seen Think around lately? ¬_¬
While I don't know what the ultimate truth is. It's not difficult to see why the judge's made the decision they did.
Dec 10th, 2012 - 01:22 am - Link - Report abuse 0Sh!t if The Euro-yanks are searching for a half-decent looking woman in Bolivia, things must be utterly desolately bleak in the north.
Dec 10th, 2012 - 02:30 am - Link - Report abuse 0The British scientist who actually lives in the USA ?
Dec 10th, 2012 - 02:34 am - Link - Report abuse 0Two days after his arrest in January this year, Frampton was locked up at Villa Devoto Prison, in Buenos Aires city, where he spent 280 days in the ‘pabellón de extranjeros’ , foreigners pavilion, home to eighty men, mainly from Spain, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and a couple of North Americans
Dec 10th, 2012 - 02:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0Why aren't we deporting all this scum? Argentina is overflowing with foreign criminals, time to send them home and the illegals too.
Argentina for Argentines.
Yeah deport him titti boi. Then it's like no sentence at all
Dec 10th, 2012 - 02:56 am - Link - Report abuse 0Why... aren't the UK, US, Peru, Paraguay lawful nations? I may hate your nations but that doesn't mean I don't realize you have some sense of decency of enforcing law. Haven't sent to their countries of origin... Peruvian/Paraguayan/almost any other Latin American prison system makes Argentina's look like paradise. Send the Peruvians to Peru, the Mexicans to Mexico, the Bolivians to Bolivia... those prisons there are all the punishment they need.
Dec 10th, 2012 - 03:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0As for the North Americans or Europeans in jail, well sending them to their cold and dark nations is punishment enough. I don't hear too many foreigners complaining about argie prisons (some are Ok, some are pretty run down but could be much worse for them).
We don't need this drug smuggling culture that gets arrested in Argentina which is a transit/destination country for drugs festering in our society and giving our criminals ideas.
I think you've been missing mommas milk...your brain is decaying.
Dec 10th, 2012 - 03:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0While hitherto not expressed by myself, your prurient fixation with mammatory vessels and amphigony-based disaccharides is becoming arrantly hackneyed. I enjoin you to sublimate these lecherous cogitations into more fructuous endeavors, which perhaps may accord you lucre in the future.
Dec 10th, 2012 - 03:21 am - Link - Report abuse 0@10 quite a typically racist Argentine comment, you get some good looking women in Bolivia.
Dec 10th, 2012 - 04:50 am - Link - Report abuse 0@16 Nozzy
Dec 10th, 2012 - 04:51 am - Link - Report abuse 0Prof. Frampton wrote stupid things, unknowingly.
Can't say the same for you.
I agree, deport him, but I do think he was treated lightly, consistent with the circumstances.
I'm sure he would be happier at home than in an an Assange-asylum.
Can you think of any other reasons to post on here? It's kind of a non-issue.
Troy I think toby spends 5 hours a day in a thesaurus to build his self esteem. Even Einstein did not speak as inflated as your hollowed attempts at sounding intelligent. Tell your boss to deport him.....that skank you call el presidente.....ol vagina neck.
Dec 10th, 2012 - 11:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0he is clearly a misunderstood drug fuelled gangsta, no doubt a coke snorting party beast out to tap a piece of fine bootay, on his all night rave trip.
Dec 10th, 2012 - 01:43 pm - Link - Report abuse 0just another example of the man keeping the brother down!
Peace out G!!!
@17
Dec 10th, 2012 - 01:54 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Re-read my comment. When you do, you may realize to whom my ::racist:: statement was really directed at.
@19 Poppy, come on give some credit. NT2's comment @16 is witty and artful: sublimate these lecherous cogitations into more fructuous endeavors - you've got to like that.
Dec 10th, 2012 - 02:26 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Silly man for unthinkingly chasing an online date
Dec 10th, 2012 - 06:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Silly man not to be aware of the scamming industry
Silly man to carry packages for a.n.o. without checking the contents
Silly man for texting trigger-words for the drug/terror authorities
I could carry on, but there are some people who have lived a lifetime in splendid academic innocence, who ought not to be let out ... especially to South America!
Some countys' courts would give him a life sentence without remission; others would remove a hand or two.
No-one is that innocent or that stupid, surely!
Maybe this is the only way child molesters and sex tourist will learn to respect our people. Smother one bytes the dust!
Dec 10th, 2012 - 08:54 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Jail him and throw away the key.
Dec 11th, 2012 - 12:25 am - Link - Report abuse 0It's not even news worthy to discuss, who really cares about this guy anyway.
Dec 11th, 2012 - 03:14 am - Link - Report abuse 0I actually feel bad for him somehow, because of the picture. I'm a very forgiving person, except with the antis of course.
Dec 11th, 2012 - 03:23 am - Link - Report abuse 0Though he has been treated quite well so he can't complain much, except for the fact he will lose 4 years of his life.
@24 Pirat -ALEX VARGAS
Dec 11th, 2012 - 03:24 am - Link - Report abuse 0Maybe this is the only way child molesters and sex tourist will learn to respect our people.!
WTF are you talking about???!!
Are you f¥€king stupid???
Don't answer that.
This has absolutely nothing to do with child molestation or sex tourism, genius!
This is about victimisation by organised crime. SA organised crime.
BTW, you don't even respect your own people, right Alex??
How many times have you personally criticised them for being lazy, not paying taxes, getting what they deserve and just laughing at them for being poor.
Argentinians are the ones making an industry out of selling their own children for sex.
You sick degenerate!
You are a compulsive liar aren't you Troy, a pathetic excuse for a person too. Why don't you back up your claims about argentines being the ones making an industry..., some actual hard number and figure that proves this problem is worse in Argentina than in Europe, the USA, or anywhere else in the world.
Dec 11th, 2012 - 05:01 am - Link - Report abuse 0If you can't, it shows you are trashy indeed, so please don't get offended at me for calling you out.
@29 Nozzy
Dec 11th, 2012 - 07:29 am - Link - Report abuse 0You are a compulsive liar aren't you Troy
Umm, what have I lied about? You are the paid propagandist.
Alex Vargas is making a misleading and incorrect accusation that Prof. Frampton is either a child molester or in SA for sex tourism, or both.
If he is asserting that UK citizens are coming to Argentina for sex with children, it must be because Argentina is known for it and therefore there is a child sex industry.
Where do those children come from, but their own families?
Does your INDEC release these statistics too?
@30
Dec 11th, 2012 - 03:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0No, they are coming to Argentina like all other European males, and yankee senators, to find a half-decent looking female. The problem is clearly your genetics, or your foutre tactics, not our social problems.
What an utter plank
Dec 11th, 2012 - 05:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0you dumb fuck show me a US Senator that came to argentina for a chica? Sanford? he was not in the US government.

Ironic isn't it??
Pirat-ALEX the bi-sexual says:
there are pedophiles coming to Argentina as a sex destination (he would know)
I say:
It is abhorrent
You are the one saying:
Don't talk about it - sweep it under the rug!!!
What was your other point?
Oh, yes, you said it is not worse than other places, anyway!
So, is it not an issue??
Should we not be permitted to mention it??
@31 Nozzy
No, they are coming to Argentina like all other European males, and yankee senators, to find a half-decent looking female.
You are wrong. He said child molesters coming for destination sex.
You don't seem at all concerned about the children, do you?
More concerned about the embarrassment and public shaming, perhaps??
You are totally amoral - get after PIRAT - ALEX if you don't want the subject raised.
