I think Chavez has known since he made that tearful plea to God at Easter time. Who knows why he ran for election again as it has, no doubt, shortened his remaining life. One could argue ego, or denial, but more likely he couldn't face the turmoil his country will be plunged into when he is no longer President. Didn't the polls indicate his successor would most likely lose against the main opposition?

Doesn't that guy look like Saddam Hussein? Doesn't that speech sound like the ones the members of the Politburo used to make? Plus the religious stuff.

Is it me or do others see problems with loyalty to a person and not for the country? When you are sworn into the military, you a swear a pledge to uphold the Consitution of the US, not the president. When the president is sworn in he swears to defend the Constitution as well. These jokers are loyal to a person, not a country and way of life,.
