    The US Government and its subject peoples “ Think ”of the US as the world's only superpower.But how is a country a superpower when its entire Government and a majority of the subjects,especially those members are Evangelical Churches ,grovel at the feet of the Israeli Prime Minister?
    How is a country superpower when it lacks the power to determine its own foreign policy in the MidEast and elsewhere ..
    Such a country is not a superpower..It is a puppet state...!

    It takes a citizen of a Nazi dictatorship to comment on a Zionist plot? Ha, ha, ha.

    Pot and kettle?

    #1 is that what your government controlled media are telling you what we Americans think? Or is that based on your many trips to the USA?

    The US should divorce itself from the “special relationship” it has with Israel and adopt a far more balanced view of the Israel - Palestine question. Without doing this it will not and cannot be seen as “ the last best hope of earth” by the population of the world.

    When you say outside the USA, you actually mean SA.

    @1 & 4

    The only FACTS about the Palestinian situation are these:

    1) HAMAS are in charge (they bamboozled the Palestinians) and they want to KILL all the Israelis;
    2) If the Israelis lay down their weapons HAMAS would kill them;
    3) If HAMAS put down their weapons (and stopped firing rockets into Israel) there WOULD BE PEACE.

    Try understanding that for a start.

    @1 because most good people here in the u.s. don't think in these weird terms that we see more often said by foreign commentors-we don't talk about 'superpowers' and, eeew, who bows to whom.

    We do understand that the U.S. gov seeks to support stability in the ME.

    It is the poor American South that are behind Israel no questions asked. Israel is necessary for their superstitious Christian prediction for where Jesus digs himself out of the Earth again.

    The NB was a stupid move, but that has nothing to do with the USA. MOTY has strange criteria. Ayayay, it's obvious you have no clue why the USA supports Israel.

    @1 and 4...
    Did you stop for just a minute to think what would Hamas, Hizbulla Iran and others would do to israel if they only could? Look what they do to each other in Syria, Pakistan Iraq and so on. This is why Israel needs the US and many more supporters. Israel has the right to be just like you do. Your opinion incites genocide. But weren't we talking about ARA Libertad? How did Israel come into this? Of course Israel is the culprit! (What a stupidity!) last week the UNGA took 21 resolutions against Israel, and another 4 related to the rest of the world. Syria is not even mentioned in none of them. So what do you expect from such a court? Teaching the world that a commitment is just as good as you want it to be. Isn't the Libertad part of the debtor's assets? Why can't it be forfeited? The Turkish Marmara is more of a battleship then the Libertad.

    http://en.mercopress.com/2012/12/19/president-obama-re-election-feat-makes-him-time-person-of-the-year#comment200174: You do not explain how ending the “special relationship” with Israel will allow Hamas, Hizbulla, Iran and others to do anything to Israel.

    The article is about Time selecting President Obama as man of the year. Emerald commented on the irony of the US subservience to Israel. Nothing to do with “ARA Libertad”. Please do try to keep up.

    #10 Exactly, while the demographic and leftward shifts that helped him, and the fact he was re-elected with record unemployement (against an opponent who was effectively promising to further increas it!) are interesting, its hardly a great “feat” to be re-elected. It was always going to be him or the other guy, and the smart money was always on him with right wing and over-cautious pundits calling the election closer than the polls actually suggested it was. Malala would have been a much better person of the year
