Cameron needs to abandon anachronistic notions of false pride and return Malvinas to Argentina.
Britain needs to return the empire stolen items to their rightful owners.

Wow I guess it is too much to expect Marcos Alejandro or Malvinero1 to actually say anything new......

Yeah yeah Britain stole the islands - so what!

Yeah yeah Britain is all alone - so what!

Britain is evil.... Britain is an empire.... Britain is going broke.... Britain is weak....

Blah blah blah. I guess they can't argue much more because the Argentine government can't either.

Though I am glad Argentina has distributed this document to all UN members. They are doing a lot to advertise and highlight the up and coming referendum. Please CFK, talk about it more so that people start to take notice.

Because a vote is hard to miss and thanks to Argentina it is getting more and more notice around the world.

Oh and before ANYONE starts quoting UN resolutions, please be aware that all UN resolutions are subservient to the UN Charter.

    Chapter 1 Article 1 Paragraph 2

“To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples”

There is nothing about territorial integrity in the UN Charter.

There is nothing any any SINGLE UN resolution that negates self determination.

So don't even bother guys. Find a new tact.

Can't the UK just issue a document addressing each of Argentina's claims and with proof, something the Argies never provide?

Well the UNGA can always use more toilet paper.

To posters 1 and 2, if Argentina's sovereignty claim is so solid why don't you PROVE it at the ICJ?

No? Why? Because your sovereignty claim is a lie, based on other lies, and you have no EVIDENCE to back up any of your erroneous claims.

Once again you government is bothering the rest of the world, who have far more important things to deal with, in an ever increasingly desperate attempt to divert the attention of the Argentine public.

This is probably being released today to distract the 'people' from the fact that your president is spending all the taxpayers money on extremely expensive hotel rooms, and I'll bet she uses the minibar too...

Argentina still struggling with the real version of history I see. 1833 wasn't important. A minor police action. Now 1829 - that was important.

    You were warned :-)

Interesting, by the way, is that CFK fired certain people for NOT anticipating the problems for the Libertad in Ghana, but the bartender of the Libertad said in October that they should have known, and he was fired for speaking against the government. Seems these tinpots can't make their minds up. If in doubt, fire everyone?!

I love that KFC / TMBOA / Ol' Turkey Neck / Asslips Kitchner / The Harpy is so obbessed with the Falklands while conveniently ignoring the the land which they have “forcibly stripped” from their neighbours.

What about their “territorial integrity” huh???

Shouldn't they be ”Demanding” of Argentina, land that has be “forcibly stripped” from them?

Or shouldn't Argentina be returning them of her own free will to show what a friendly neighbour she is?

The hypocrisy being displayed here is quite stunning

I shouldn't worry too much about our Argentine friends.

You can say someone stole something a billion times but if you have no evidence to prove it and Argentina does not, you've got zero chance of anyone actually believe it and in this case see Ban Ki Moon's statement on the matter.

And if that wasn't bad enough if your own story is also and obviously fictitious then all you have is people laughing and at you until they tire of your endless complaints and in this case, its the world who is completely and utterly fed up with the lies and deceit of the Argentine government and people.

You have become more irrelevant with the increase of your lies and bullying and childish behavior towards the islanders.

    You are pathetic.

Do our Argentine posters think that Argentina should return the land forcibly stripped during the Conquest of the Desert? Given they'll probably claim that didn't happen, how about the land stolen from Paraguay during the War of the Triple Alliance?

Paper, waste, bin. That's about as much attention the UN are going to allot to this letter. They have bigger and more pressing matters to deal with happening today, they will not bother with issues that allegedly took place 180 years ago.

It's a pointless request in any case as the UN, as constituted, cannot adjudicate on pre 1945 border disputes.

Any non-binding resolutions that request that the UK and Arg find a peaceful solution were rudely blown out of the water in 1982.

Things have moved on and the old bi-partite talks are gone - there will be no discussions unless the FIG are involved and in agreement.

Would the Argentine posters on this forum kindly comment why in 1982 when you animals illegally invaded The Falkland Islands and when The UN security council voted that Argentina withdraw immediately, now surely if you had so much suport for your lies and propoganda no such resolution would have been passed infact surely it would have been a GREEN LIGHT for The UN to say Argentina you are right so stay ??

”On the evening of the 3 April, Britain's United Nations ambassador Sir Anthony Parsons put a draft resolution to the United Nations Security Council. The resolution, which condemned the hostilities and demanded immediate Argentine withdrawal from the Islands, was adopted by the council the following day as United Nations Security Council Resolution 502, which passed with ten votes in support, one against (Panama) and four abstentions (China, the Soviet Union, Poland and Spain).[26][27][28] The UK received further political support from the Commonwealth of Nations and the European Economic Community”

It may be coming sooner than you think. Cristina Hitler gives every impression of being totally mental and increasingly desperate.

If her grip on power domestically gets shaky enough she may *just* be mad enough to have a crack at a third Argie invasion of the islands. The problem this time is that the defences are there to prevent them even landing.

[Irrelevant aside]In my latest game on Hearts of Iron Argentina joined the axis shortly before Japan, they landed on the Falklands while most of my Royal Navy was busy blapping the italians in the mediterranean. Then spring 1942 rolls round, I recapture the islands, completely destroy the Argentine navy and set up submarine blockades of every Argentine port effectively rendering their participation in the war useless until I'm done with Germany and Japan in 1944. At which point the Argies are easy pickings.

On the other hand the calmer we remain, the more unstable and outrageous the Argentines act, and it is then quite clear to everyone (with half a brain who isn't a dictator) who the aggressor is.

Like as the bible says in Matthew 5:39, “But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.”

Of course, he didn't mention that after you have 'turned the other cheek“ and taken the blow, that you hit them back - hard - and send them into next week.

As the saying goes: ”Two hits! Me hitting you and you hitting the floor!” LOL

The trouble of course is that AR is seeking validation right now. When a headcase does that in office politics this can get messy. The only way for CFK to pull that off her current overall sorry hand is to play the victim card. And methinks the trump victim card that UK is preparing for is for CFK to start a fight with someone who is defending someone smaller by taking a swing at the latter and then crying “Bully!” Once again, right out of the dysfunctional office politics playbook. AR doesn't have to hit hard, they don't even have to use a military asset (lest it be confiscated by creditors) but they can arrange to harass a civilian FI interest at sea, the latter interest will either respond directly (in an “unprovoked” attack) or request an armed support (mind you, nary a shot need be fire, or for that matter a dirty look glanced), and she will have her cross that she can drag around her newly polished marble floor at the UN and bore the security council as if they were Nina Garcia on Project Runway.
