Argentina thanks Indonesia for support on Falklands issue and blasts multilateral organizations
President Cristina Fernandez thanked Indonesia for the “permanent support” extended to Argentina in the “Malvinas cause” and reiterated that Argentina is only asking for the UK to respect and abide the United Nations resolution, but at the same time attacked multilateral organizations such as the UN and WTO for “favouring the great powers”. Could any Malvinista on here please explain what sort of tangible support Indonesia will give CFK over the Falklands? Or is is more like my family's support for the Arsenal FC? We've never bought a ticket for a match, any official merchandise or been members of the club. But we support them!
I sure did pick the wrong time to go to the UK. It's bloody freezing. Don't like my chances of getting back out of here on time according to the forecasts either.

I think there is no mention in the press because Indonesia values the direct and indirect aid it receives from the UK over the scary ranting lady's empty promises (again). The government was being diplomatic, and so nodded at the appropriate moments but was unsure and pretty hacked off that the visit to their shores was not about them, but was usurped into a distraction ploy for Argentina's internal issues.

all foreign companies in argentina should at least look to its neighbours, as a plan B, after all argentinas investment,transparency and security rating amongst other ratings has taken a massive nose dive in the past 12 months a very risky enviroment for foreign investment in argentina.
And gladly its going to get worse for her government!

They are simply 'dis-favouring' renegade states who do not play by the rules of the game. The world simply cannot operate as an integrated whole if there are too many rogue states.

And one may wonder indeed what Argentina is doing in the UN at all, since it clearly rejects two of the most fundamental principles of the organisation, namely the peaceful resolution of disputes, and the right of self-determination.
But then again, standards at the UN aren't all that high. It's not like the IMF or the WTO, for example, where you're expected to tell the truth and respect the rules you've signed up to.
@41 Why? If you were to keep up, you would find that I now place the population of the south eastern latin america into one of two groups. One group I refer to as Argentines. These are sane, sensible, intelligent people who can read, think for themselves, reason and are much like other civilised people. The other group I refer to as arsies. I used to call them argies, but then I decided to be more accurately descriptive. These are largely insane, or brainwashed, or both. They may have heard of the word “intelligent” but that's as far as it goes. They may be able to read but they can only read what they're told to read. This tends to be limited to material produced by the “government” and banners. Thinking is also something they do rarely and never well. Reasoning is also beyond them. As an example, the ability to reason that one plus one equals two. This inability is often demonstrated on this very board. In 1831, after the visit of the USS Lexington to the Falkland Islands, there were about 24 people left on the Islands. In 1833, when the illegal United Provinces garrison for the illegal United Provinces penal colony was required to leave, the records show that 4 civilians went with it. Amazingly, when arsies recount this incident, they have trouble reasoning that twenty-four minus four leaves twenty. As a result, their account always ends with the entire United Provinces settlement being expelled. I, and many others, have spent years pointing out that this is incorrect and is not supported by any evidence. But, if you look at recent pronouncements by CFK, you can see that, according to arsie “reasoning”, twenty four minus four still equals zero. By any reasonable standard, anyone that can't reason is sub-human. Reason is what distinguishes homo sapiens from animals. What do you do when you have a large group of vicious animals threatening a human population?

The General Assembly resolutions on the question encouraged both parties to seek a peaceful settlement and urged accelerated negotiations, with the objective of reaching an early agreement corresponding to the best interest of the Islands’ population. Indonesia called upon the Governments of Argentina and the United Kingdom to take advantage of the “solid relationship” established between them through the years, and to renew negotiations. The delegation further hoped that the draft resolution, which it would support, would be adopted by consensus.“
