Feb 20th, 2013 - 01:26 am - Link - Report abuse 0.hese trash believe living in times of ships of candles as in the time of the usurpation of the Malvinas Argentinas in 1833 and hypocritically speak of British interests.

Feb 20th, 2013 - 02:26 am - Link - Report abuse 0@4 Your tinpot submarines couldn't even fire their torpedoes in 1982! Given the state of your navy and lack of newer subs and weapon systems, what makes you think you can fire one now? You got more chance of one exploding whilst still in the torpedo tube then you have of your navy ever managing to actually fire one!

Oh that's right. Argentina doesn't have any real navy to speak of!
I love it when the trolls try to get in early and then make themselves look even stupider than they already looked.
The ARA submarine fleet have just released a promotional video entitled, Run silent, Run deep. To you and I that's known has, Sunk.

Don't know what expat is whinging about. His relatives back home will be burning pesos to keep warm and he will be paying more for his energy along with the rest of us. C'est la vie.
Feb 20th, 2013 - 04:39 am - Link - Report abuse 0Loved the druggy story from 2008 though. Those sailors been civvies for nearly five years by now, after they got out the glass house that is.
Burning pesos to keep warm? I am sure you know that we are in the middle of the summer right?
Feb 20th, 2013 - 05:18 am - Link - Report abuse 0What, they only have one season back on the old country?
Feb 20th, 2013 - 05:39 am - Link - Report abuse 0Well they not got enough dollar reserves to buy fuel for this coming winter, and they can not buy with peso's, so they might as well burn them to keep the heat on.
Feb 20th, 2013 - 06:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0They'll be getting ration books soon for energy and food lol
Nice to see, showing the flag, touring British territories & as a visual reminder to the malvinistas that Argentina is NOT the centre of the universe. lol

Feb 20th, 2013 - 10:28 am - Link - Report abuse 0At least we know the situation and address it as regards power shortages. Not going to happen though. How are your power shortages going, you been able to keep the lights on?
@2 Yup. Only needs one proper ship, i.e. floating, to deter the agresive and mighty Argentine army.
Feb 20th, 2013 - 12:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@4 If I had my way no argie or argieland would exist!
@9 We have a navy. Where's yours?
@14 I see it's raining. And it's going to get colder! Sunny here in Britain.
So given the normal arrangement of these things I'm guessing the order will be:
Feb 20th, 2013 - 01:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Complaint to the UN about militarizing the South Atlantic (despite it being a frigate replacing a destroyer)
Condemnation of the whole replacing-one-ship-with-another from whichever South American alphabet soup committee is currently most in KFC's pocket.
Argyll having a relatively quiet six months tooling around the South Atlantic, and finally...
Argyll's crew having a number of nice relaxing shore leave sessions in the Carribean on their way home.
Condemnation of the whole replacing-one-ship-with-another from whichever South American alphabet soup committee is currently most in KFC's pocket.”

The headline upon completion of this latest sailing should be ''HMS Argyll successfully completes the South Atlantic Navy pentathlon. Featuring such games as 'Don't get impounded in dock' , 'make sure you're seaworthy' and many more*.''
Feb 20th, 2013 - 03:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0*Games were subject to change right up until the last minute, as we awaited yet another ARA vessel in unusual difficulties to provide inspiration.
HMS Argyll
Feb 20th, 2013 - 06:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0will go where it wants , when it wants , and their is nothing Argentina can do about it,
as proven time and time again,
despite the CFK cries to the UN.
You think they would be more concerned about the subs off their coast than a single frigate, mind you it does float and it is allowed to visit foreign ports without risk of being impounded, that's got to make it a danger to the ”might Argentine navy@ lol
Feb 21st, 2013 - 02:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0And, it British sepoys who are the cause of all Argentinas woes. Read all about it here:- http://www.buenosairesherald.com/article/124653/puppets-on-a-string . Absolutely hilarious. With newspaper articles like this no wonder KFC and tinman are so desperate!
