Perhaps more to the point Monti and Bersani aren't about to go on trial for soliciting sex from a minor and malfeasance in public office.

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Silvio “Bunga Bunga” Berlusconi, the politician who I believe must hold some kind of record for the most profoundly inappropriate behaviour for an elected politician who keeps getting re-elected, but surely he ought to just retire gracefully to his media empire, and just stick to publishing photographs of people when they're trying to enjoy a private holiday.
