Australian beef and veal export values in 2012 increased 2% year-on-year, reaching 4.77 billion dollars. While beef and veal export volumes during 2012 notched a record, values were short of the equivalent feat, influenced by a greater proportion of exports made up of frozen product and the high Australian dollar. Australian Beef is the best tasting... I have often eaten it in Chile, quite popular.

We are quota restricted to the US but the Korean and hopefuly also the Japanese markets will very soon be open to us so watch out OZ!
Feb 28th, 2013 - 03:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Chinese buy a lot of the inferior cuts from us also and I think that our Meat Corporation has recently opened two topflight restaurants in Shanghai and Macoa to penetrate the top end of the market with selected Angus and Hereford cuts. So Aussie croppies beware or you will soon be playing catchup with us Uruguayans
