Obama signs spending cuts after no agreement is reached with the Republicans
US President Barack Obama has signed into effect a wave of steep spending cuts which he has warned could damage the US economy. The cuts - known as the sequester and drawn up two years ago will take 85bn dollars from the US federal budget this year. Read full article

•He's slowed the growth of the fed gov more than any contemporary president BEFORE sequestration.
•He ended opt-in nsf fees on atm cards.
•He shut down the war in Iraq.
•He's bringing ppl home from Afghanistan.
•He kickstarted ev.
•He's furthered dialogue on health care.
•If you had listened to when he said to invest in the American market, you'd be up 118%, more than double your money.
& he's a GOOD family person.

So both sides went ahead and played chicken with eachother, a dangerous game, Obama meant what he said if he could not raise taxes, and now sequestration starts. Sequestration will hit those Republican states hard too. But beleive me, if its hard in the US, it would be 10 times harder somewhere else.....

If this were not the case the GOP would not have its current majority in the HoR. And, in any case, their caucus would not be so stacked with Tea Baggers who find their constituency in the primaries..
