I believe that the Cardinal Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Honduras should be elected as the next Pope. He ticks all the boxes!

Not being a catholic or a christian it does not affect me who they elect. However, if the majority of their faith are from Latin America, it seems only fair that a Latin American should be given a chance at the papacy. Certainly the recent non Italian Popes seem to have been better.

“it does not affect me who they elect”

The pope indirectly affects everyone on earth through realpolitik influence. It shouldn't be so. Religion should be a private matter if you want to believe in deities.

All I see is a bunch of idiots voting for the idiot in chief. The devout should watch a David Icke video. It's only watchable because it's such laughable claptrap - but it's no different to the teachings of mainstream religions. If religions want to understand how they are perceived by a logical mind then David is the man.

You could always start with Pat Condell:

Great guy and still alive after taking the Islamists apart.

That is an epic video. I fear it is so confrontational that the faithful would simply dismiss it rather than consider it's logic.

Why I always say “watch David Icke” is because 99% would respond with “who is this idiot” and therefore experience the same thought sensations that I feel when people bang on about their religion.

Kudos to Pat Condell though - he really knows how to articulate.

Faith is for people who are afraid of death. Instead of thanking god (pun intended) for being born at the top of this planets evolutionary chain, they
want more. Well there is no more, be thankful what you have had and if your lucky, for those you leave behind and for those they will leave behind.

Damn right, if I want to know what I have done right in this world, I only have to look into the faces of my two daughters, that's enough for me. If I live long enough to see their children, dam! that's a bonus, but you will not catch me complaining if fate does not give me that pleasure. I'm content, their lifes make me so, no man can ask for more, no man can take it from me.

What is more, what the hell (wrong word again) with dying when it is your time, cannot recall the numbers of people Ihave loved who have gone, I do not need faith to replace that, it never weakens. It's always there! I need no priest to remind me of it.

    8 reality check

I may not live long enough to see any grandchildren given the debt burden my children are carrying for their education, but I can only hope and trust that they will be brought up like my children were.

I am sure they will be in reality as long as the do-gooders don't stick their noses in even further and completely fuck the UK up.

I am a very educated person and have NEVER fell into the 'knowing everything myself syndrome'.

All my professional life I have ALWAYS consulted the local magement and ESPECIALLY the workforce - usually by using a confidential questionnare which only I had the papers back. And I try NOT to be arrogant!

But I know what you mean. :o)

There´s a majority of European Cardinals inside the conclave over others from different regions, so is very probable the next Pope will be from Europe.
