Bolivian president, Evo Morales, says his Venezuelan counterpart, Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, is in stable conditions but still suffering from relapses in his recovery from a fourth round of surgery for cancer. Morales couldn't meet with Chavez but said doctors and relatives of Chávez informed him about his current condition. Read full article

Mar 04th, 2013 - 07:04 am - Link - Report abuse 0Not as convincing as bringing in Capriles, the head of the Opposition. That would easily done and all that was needed to allay suspicions
if he were alive.
More talk..........still no videos, nor any CONVINCING non-staged pictures.
Mar 04th, 2013 - 10:25 am - Link - Report abuse 0There's no way in hell he's still alive, because if he were, the pro-Chavez gov would LOVE to post proof. The fact that they WON'T, is proof that they CAN'T, because we all know they'd love nothing more than prove the naysayers wrong.
I would think death is the most serious relapse, especially to the existing regime.
Mar 04th, 2013 - 11:17 am - Link - Report abuse 0Amazing that a foreign government seems to know more than the Venezuelan people know about their OWN president.
Mar 04th, 2013 - 11:50 am - Link - Report abuse 0I'd say something smells fishy but I'm pretty sure that rotting corpses smell worse than that.
There was a big protest in Venezuela yesterday because the people are not being given accurate information, just rumour and counter-rumour.
Mar 04th, 2013 - 03:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I am pretty certain the reason Morales and CFK were not allowed to see Chavez is precisely because they would blab.
Chavez is in a vegetative state and propping him up with his daughters and a newspaper isn't going to change that.
Mar 04th, 2013 - 04:06 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Imagine what would happen if word got out the Chavez's hospital bed is a block of ice.
Mar 04th, 2013 - 04:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Speaking after a Catholic Mass to pray for Chavez's health,
Mar 04th, 2013 - 04:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Now they MUST be desperate.
This does not mean Chavez would have overcome his health condition but would have certainly not been exposed to so much pain and suffering.
Ah well! The more pain and suffering this bastard has will not even begin to make reparations for the heartache he has caused his country.
Pray the Venezuelan people see through the intimidation tactics that Maduro is using, he is only strong while Chavez is alive, what a horrible leader he would be!!!!

Dead.....still alive.....who really cares......NO ONE CAN SEE HIM! That alone is a good thing.....as long as he is alive and well just like this.....it's all good.
It doesn't really matter if Chavez is alive or dead, his power is waiting. His influence dropping. His people praying.
Mar 05th, 2013 - 12:52 am - Link - Report abuse 0That's gotta hurt..... especially if he is alive and knows it. Actually now that I think about it, I hope he is alive and grinding his teeth and how far he has fallen.
While there is no definitive proof as to his death or alive status, considering he has not made his inauguration, not been seem in 3 months, his presidente allies have not been allowed to see him, I am siding with actual death or brain dead. Either way, he is gone....kaput, finished, over the hill, on the boothill expressway.

For someone who does not understand the awesome power of a British Astute Class submarine I will have to explain the joke.
When somebody who nobody likes dies, they say he has kicked the bucket!
Enjoy.
I would say that Chavez being alive is definitely OUCH and it definitely has GOT TO HURT.

Hardly worth a comment. The man is dead or dying. It is just a matter of time.
