Emotional Cristina Fernandez back in Argentina misses Chavez funeral ceremony
As world leaders were arriving at Caracas late Thursday for Friday’s funeral ceremony of President Hugo Chavez, Argentine president Cristina Fernandez and her delegation were back in Buenos Aires. The Argentine president visited the Military Hospital’s chapel Thursday noon for a final goodbye to the Venezuelan leader and then ordered the flight back to Buenos Aires. Read full article

She's probably left early in an emotional state because Venezuela has told her that they plan on calling in all of their markers, and they expect her to pay up in full.

They have got to do something to try and deflect the focus away. A sensible approach would be to do something so radical at home that the coverage of the referendum gets side lined. In reality given the current backwards or idiotic approach to the full situation they are far more likely to sale the ARA Libertad into Port Stanley under the false guise of friendship or something then scuttle her at the harbour claiming that as she is Argentine the ground which she rests on is also Arginine and as it’s at Port Stanley The Falkland’s are also Argentine.
She could easily have stayed for the funeral and been back in BaAs in plenty of time for the Falklands referendum.

It could be that there is not actually going to be a funeral anymore, more of a remembrance because Maduro has declared Chavez will be lying in state for at least another week. It is beneficial to his election campaign to have Chavez around as long as possible.
CFK has covered her early exit by stating she only went as a friend and not a President. Bullshit, of course, because she is the bloody President and should be there representing her country. And even as a friend, she should have attended. Something upset her and she threw a hissy fit.

But, of course, as all educated people know, still capable of sending and receiving radio messages. You just float an antenna up to the surface. Can't you just imagine it? This is a final warning. This message is being recorded to show that you were warned. Leave this area immediately. We are authorised to use extreme force.” Good idea to video the sinking. 1) Replace Chávez as leader of the Bolivarian “revolution”,
2) Give the main speech and eulogy at the funeral.
The main speech will be given by Dilma Rousseff and Maduro is going to try for Chávez's jack-boots!!!!!!!
My view on the subject is that she should join Chavez PDQ or preferably sooner. The next cruise liner should fire a 21 Gun salute as well as playing God save the Queen.

Argentina had to keep two LNG tankers in port because they didn't issue payment and the captain wouldn't unload it without the wire.

Why should the countries with viable, growing economies tether themselves to the dysfunctional politics and self- destructive and limiting economic policies of Mercosur and Argentina who have screwed themselves??
Fine for Argentina, “misery loves company”, etc.
However, Brazil has huge potential - they, for one, could greatly expand their trade and economic growth by trading outside with the likes of the US, UK, Asia!!
Foreign Capitsl investment and joint industrial ventures, not available to Argentina, WILL be a big boon to Brazil, bringing them up to an economic leader in the decades to come.
Not so, for backward-looking Argentina.
