The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a 550 million dollars operation for Uruguay to fund the Program for Strategic International Positioning, which aims to substantially increase investment and exports by strengthening the regulatory and institutional framework, promoting and facilitating trade, and boosting entrepreneurial innovation. Disclaimer & comment rulesI really, really hope that Pepe and his cabinet of misfits don't screw this up like they did with PLUNA and nearly with the massive IDB loan in 2012 for the combined heat plant project being 'managed' by UTE.
Mar 08th, 2013 - 05:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0They managed to pick the wrong division of the suppliers massive group of companies to do the due diligence, only to be told to get their act together before they lost the IDB loan which closed at the end of 2012.
Heads, together, and bang, would be a good start for UTE to consider, or give up and let somebody with ability and proven experience run the outfit.
