    Ms. Nahon

    - “Ms Nahon has an Economics degree from the University of Buenos Aires; a Master in Economic Development from the London School of Economics and was a professor at the Latinamerican faculty of Social Sciences, FLASCO.”

Hmmmmm, just the sort of person they need at home.
Why send her to the US?

Please send Alicia Castro, she's the laughingstock of London.

Ms. Nahon and Mrs. Castro were and probably remain virtual unknowns to the vast majority of Argentines, and totally unknown before their postings as they had no experience or trajectory in diplomacy.

But you have to start somewhere, so of course you begin by sending diplomats to low-demand, mainly ceremonial embassies in foreign capitals that do not have much relevance to you as a country. If they prove themselves there, then you can send them to more important venues.

@1 if she's anything like her friend Kicillof, then we don't need her at home, we need her as far away from us as possible. I don't get why she was sent to the US though.

#2 Thats a bit harsh John, Alicia was a leading trade unionist and led a left party, and Cecilia was featured on here too before she got the post. If Cristinita doesn't stand again either could be a potentially good candidate for 2015, no?

I hope she enjoyed her 1st and only meeting with US Prez and State.

I wonder if she washed her hair before going to the White House? She is really dirty looking!

I think US Congress has finally started to notice that Argentina is an Intl scofflaw and will start tightening the noose also.

#2 you are correct and I could not agree more. Then, they can be sent to more important venues like Iran, North Korea, Syria, Nigeria, Yeman even Somalia

Toby, You are correct, I am not sure what the huge Embassy staff does all day.
They are denied meetings with State and Prez, they don't even have the equipment to issue passports for RG citizens any longer. What in the world do they do all day?
    Shop and eat I guess

That is an old picture of Ms. Nahon.

More recently, she has shaved her eyebrows and appears to been hit with an Ugly-Stick!!

Geez Troy......I saw that recent picture, the old looks better. Without the brows.....really different......that must have been one big OOGLY stick! Maybe the women that work under KFC has to make themselves uglier than her, which should not be that difficult.

Well I've just had a look for some of the newer photos, and I must say its a shame, its almost like two different women when compared to the lovely lady in the caption here. She's obviously capable of looking good - my advice would be to start by reinstating those eyebrows...

I've pulled people from incendiary scenarios before and her eyebrows looks like they were burned off in recent pics.

#15 Interesting, could it also explain the fact she seems far more gaunt and wrinkly, if she's been in some kind of fire or accident? And if true, could it perhaps have been due to a politically motivated attack on her???
