    Great words indeed. I hope the Falklanders are forever able to enjoy a future of “gentleness and peace”.

    RIP Maggie. They don't make them like you any more! We are now a country of lions led by donkeys.
    What a beautiful and well organized funeral.

    Most theologically minded? Is that supposed to be a good thing? Congradulations on spending 10 million on her funeral, I'm sure that's what the people of the UK need. Ding dong, the witch is dead!

    Well we sure as hell do not need them spending 9.5million to equip more prison gyms and weight training rooms! But they will.

    @4;
    Hey Brazilian, are you from Brazil?

    If so, you spelt your own name wrong.

    The Reverend Dr. Richard Hines quotes Margaret Thatcher invoking “the paths of peace” in the “other country”. It's regretable that she didn't elect the paths of this peace on this earth. Instead she engaged in a needlesswar. Ah, the hollowness of the words of politcians!

    'Needless' no.

    You can't invade soreign territory of another country, and expect to get away with it. That's just naive.

    Leopoldo Galtieri caused a needless war.

    @4 On the rebate to the EU, she has saved the UK many many billions of pounds over the years and the sum of ten million is chicken feed compared to that

    @4 Brazilian

    Ten million pounds is chicken feed, and quite frankly, since Baroness Thatcher should have had a State funeral which would have cost considerably more, a bargain.

    I wonder how much Venezula paid for 'Chavez's' funeral? I'll bet it was much more than 10 million pounds.

    And if an important Brazilian dies, what will Brazil spend on their funeral? Or will you just chuck them in a convenient hole and forget about them?

    You really seem aggrieved about something. Anyone would think that the 10 million was coming out of your own pocket.

    @8 Devolverislas

    When a murderous regime invades a peaceful community and threatens to murder them all, the resultant war is not needless.

    Liberty and Freedom are always paid for in blood.

    If Argentina didn't like the price it paid for its aborted attempt to steal someone else's land and homes, then perhaps you shouldn't have started shooting in the 1st place.

    You started the war, Britain finished it. All casualties occurred by either side were the sole responsibility of the aggressor - in other words the country that started the war - Argentina.

    Should you ever be stupid enough to attempt to invade the Falklands again, the price Argentina will pay will be much higher this time.

    Look to your own problems in your own country, and leave others to manage their own countries and territories themselves.

    Actual figure Thatcher saved with the rebate to this day is around £75 Billion-she deserved that funeral and more like it or not she put Britain first.

    “Above all, don't lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.”
    Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Brother Karamazov.

    Would you be so kind to explain why this happens?

    # 7- No I did not spell my name wrong. First of all, Brazilian is not a name, and if it was a name, I could spell it however I want to. I am not arguing with anyone in portuguese here because this an english-language site. And just so you know, it is spelled “Escocês” and not “Escoses”.
