Joao Havelange has quit as FIFA honorary president while Sepp Blatter has been cleared of misconduct in the ISL bribery case, a report by FIFA ethics committee said. The report described the behaviour of Havelange as “morally and ethically reproachable” in his dealings with ISL, FIFA former marketing partner which went bankrupt in 2001. Read full article

    So FIFA is corrupt - how many years did it take folks to work that out?

    Hardly fair pointing at this bloke as being “south american” - all of FIFA is corrupt, its just that not many of them have been caught yet as the people responsible for investigating corruption in FIFA is FIFA.

    so, like, go figure dudes...

    Obviously this poor chap upset the wrong Meister so they've outed him to the world.

    Blatter is the most corrupt, and yet also inept, of the whole shebang.

    True, I believe the last sacrificial lamb was an African.

    This is the reason I have not watched a football match, including the World and other tournaments, it's all bout obscene amounts, how quick and how much of it you can get, ruined the game for me!
