I can't believe Argentina would sign this. Not only free trade is regarded as evil here, but also we can't afford to import much of anything, with or without free trade. A trade agreement with the European Union would only destroy our industry and skyrocket unemployment.

I will believe this WHEN it happens, not until.

95% is NOT enough to allow the EU to sign, and given that the argies will be involved it won't be worth the paper it is written on.

Just look at that. Yáñez Barnuevo again. As I recall, an appreciable number of EU member states are NOT in favour of this “accord”. And it seems that 350 members of the European Parliament may not be in favour of it either. So why is the EU pressing on with it? It's about POWER. It's another way to force recalcitrant EU member states to comply with EU diktats. “Do this or we'll flood your markets with cheap latino goods!” Remember that the EU is all about the domination of Europe.
But we can all make a resolution now not to buy anything that comes from latin america. Shouldn't be a problem. It'll be rubbish anyway. Remember the comments we've had here to the effect that argies flock to Chile to buy stuff because their own stuff is crap? And never forget the various reports of wholesale use of dangerous pesticides on crops and equally dangerous hormones on livestock. Buy nothing from latin america. The effect of these “agricultural” products is cumulative. watch out for increasing incidences of birth defects and cancers. And they affect the brain as well. Progressively, you come more stupid and irrational!

Zero chance of this happening as long as Argentina is a member of Mercosur
