Argentine President Cristina Fernández defended her controversial judiciary reform and announced that deep reforms require “amendments to the Constitution”. However, she emphasized she would not push any initiative in that sense. Read full article
Excellent formulation, she leaves the door open here for the K lawmakers to change the constitution, if the people so want. I hope they do =) Viva Cristinita 2015!
...but I am not going to propose any change; ...
ha,ha - who says that? a ck of arg. the biggest liar women of south america.
she would not - but hordes of ck-gang members will do so after having been kicked in their back side by ck. they are all depending of the money of the arg government and especially of the mercy of their old lady.
#3 WHo says they'd need a kick up the backside? Seems to me they actually believe it =) And when did they start calling the lovely young Cristinita the old lady?!
The National Constitution of Argentina is the seventh in seniority in the world and the second in the Americas.
Argentina had already a republican and liberal National Constitution while some of the best countries of Europe (countries that now amazed us by their development and quality of life) never dreamed of becoming democracies
The National Constitution is a liberal and republican one and follows the freemasonic principles of the father of the country.
During the decades in which it was fulfilled and punctiliously respected it served to politically order the country that becomes the leader of Latin America.
Today, it is a failed country and a decadent society for having follow a catholic and nationalist project with populist behaviors
Now It becomes more evident than never that it is the same confrontation that occurred in Spain (and later in Europe) during the Civil War. Liberalism and Republicanism vs. Catholic fascism.
It's a shame, and also a crime, that shows what really the peronism is all about.
The funny thing of all this is that the country is in flames again. Inflation is rising, reserves of the BCRA are almost nothing, there are not foreign investments and unemplyment started skyrocketing.
But the old lady is thinking about her political fate... delusions to remain in power.
Old lady...your end is close !!!..at leat try to keep some dignity during the last years of your reign.
I'm not sure about tolerance, a million protestors on the street just gets ignored, maybe a lockdown of the city BS.AS is needed with the whole population situated there to get out and show their disgust at the government.. problem there is, the peoples will or do they fear her and muscle being the La Campora thugs ? a big question mark
By the contact that I have with my relatives there people are not afraid of her or La Campora. People are afraid of the inmoral and illegal usage of the government resources she does to twist every election
Just need to look at the history of Argentina. Not long ago if you said too much you took your own life into your hands. Not only that, the whole population know that their Governments are corrupt and they act accordingly. They become as corrupt themselves. They learn all of the short cuts.
A problem is that those who oppose the government are not violent or hysterical. The government knows that most will only peacefully protest. Thats why it mocks the opposition and continues with its thievery and anti democratic agenda. But Argentines have what they deserve. Two years ago it seems very few Argentines were asking probing questions about CFK and they got caught up in the nationalistic Malvinas build up. Only when their finances are threatened do the middle class mass take interest. The 'government' is right in that respect
The thieves in government do what they do because they know they can get away with it. Simple.
It seems to me that there is just apathy, resignation. You can have this corrupt government or that corrupt government. Everyone is out for themselves. This is why this 'Malvinas' angle works so well. It is one of the things that they can unite on. Like football, when the national team play. The rest of the time they are robbing each other and trying to get one over.
#6 BK considering cuntface kirchner is 60 years old, you must be one old fuck to refer to her as young, but then again you think she is beautiful. Most normal people view her in the same manner as a pile of dog shit. Life expectency in Argentina is 75.6 years....she is 80% dead. With any luck.....she will be very soon.
So....she will be saying no constitutional changes all the way up to the October mid terms. Then, after the stupid people fall and believe her, they elect the assholes, I mean victory front regime into office, then it's truly over then.

'I will not propose any changes to the Constitution .... only a series of Amendments' CFK
The Amendments are 'anti-Constitutional' in the sense that they all strengthen her individual position and give her the right to destroy the voice of any opposition.
The 'people' seem willing to let this warping of the Constitution and the governance of their country continue ... like rabbits mesmerized by the stare of the predator.
The actions of the corrupt mass of Argentinians reported on television by the Clarin Group accuser are the actions of a pack of wolves, tearing the heart out of Argentina.
Surely the people of Argentina can bring sufficient pressure to bear such that the whole wolf-pack is put behind bars.
You are all so unfair to this poor widow . She does not want to change the Constituition . She knows full well that once the Grupo Clarin is silenced she will be able to do what she wants . Stay on as President for ever . Control inflation . Continue to be surrounded by Ministers who are envied the world over for their intelligence and integrity . Give no money to those , Mayors or Governors , who do not agree with her , no problem if people die in floods or for lack of medicines ! Continue to amaze her public with brillant long speeches which even Churchill would admire . And dazzle the whole world with her youthful elegance .
reminds me of a song...
Congress starts chanting: Cristina, Cristina....
CFK replys: It won't be easy, you'll think it strange
When I try to explain how I feel
That I still need your money after all that I've done
You won't believe me
All you will see is a whore you once knew
Although she's botoxed up to the limit
And lips filled with collagen paid by you
I had to let it happen, I had to change
Couldn't stay all my life down at heel
Looking out of the window, staying out of the sun
So I chose stealing
Running around, trying to confiscate everything
But nothing impressed me at all
I never expected it to
Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance
And as for fortune, and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired
They are illusions
They are not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me
Have I said too much?
There's nothing more I can think of to say to you.
But all you have to do is look at me to know
That every word is true
#18 maybe a lockdown of the city BS.AS is needed with the whole population situated there to get out and show their disgust at the government
A disgust many, indeed most, of them don't have...
#29 A problem is that those who oppose the government are not violent or hysterical
So you wish it was???
#32 Your own side's Ayayay said today I think she has perfect facial proportions, & maintains superwell (at http://en.mercopress.com/2013/05/14/venezuela-s-only-opposition-television-network-sold-to-a-group-close-to-the-government) so at least some of you are honest enough to see past political bias =) I don't usually like to say much about myself, but I don't think its giving too much away to reveal that I'm younger than Cristina, and am calling her young not because I'm old but because she looks young!
#40 Just as I admire Churchill for his speeches (and war leadership) without sharing his right wing politics, so I'm sure he'd have admired (if thats the word!) Cristina for her speeches, and other things =) And I think she'll outlast the mayors and governors like Scioli and Macri to whom you refer, hopefully in office but at least in legacy and the hearts of the people =)
BK your adulation of that rancid cunt is not only appalling it is pathetic. And again you make a claim of the people of the city of Buenos Aires that is baseless. Go there and sample the people.....or shut up with the baseless statements.
And when did they start calling the lovely young Cristinita the “old lady”?!
the moment they saw her I expect - well, the polite ones.
The honest ones said Mutton and She looks like a bulldog licking piss off a thistle!
Followed by Total corrupt lying two-faced money-grabbing power-mad bitch who is destroying our nation
-------
Just as I admire Churchill for his speeches (and war leadership) without sharing his right wing politics, so I'm sure he'd have admired (if thats the word!) Cristina for her speeches, and other things =)
He probably admires her legs as an alternative to tree-trunks for somewhere to piss....... and he obviously likes the sound of a bitch yapping...so, yes, I agree. Churchill would love her.
but I don't think its giving too much away to reveal that I'm younger than Cristina, and am calling her young not because I'm old but because she looks young!
.....KFC needs a little more work and she too can be a stud.
LOL!!
Oh well, off to the secret stem cell and cloning lab in her vault/bunker for reconstruction.
Perhaps this time, they can grow her a replacement for the 'Death's Head' skull she is currently using!
Agreed.........she needs a lot of new parts. She can give her old one's to BK considering his amorous and lascivious adulations. One day I am convinced that BK's hands will get permmanently stuck to his keyboard.
(45) GeoffWard2
You say....:
... In a flattering light, you might mistake me for a 40 year old stud!
I say....:
Errrmm.... In a flattering light..... and after that little cosmetic surgery....
SHE DIDN'T SAY IT TWICE, SHE SAID IT THRICE.
The first time that she said she wasn't interested in changing the constitution, was at the harvard conference last year, when she was asked about that posibility. The second time, was during the opening of the ordinary sessions at the congress, and the third time was last wednesday in la matanza.
In my opinion if she really has the intention of changing the constitution, in order to include a new article which gives her the posibility of runing for a third period, she won't say it untill she has the enough majority at the congress, in case her party wins next election in october.
I think its absolutly necesary a reform of the constitution, because there are many achievements that we could get since 2003, and we must assure that a posible conservative govt. in the future doesn't eliminate them. I don't agree on a third consecutive period, neather for c. f. k., nor for anybody else, because its necesary that all politic parties form good politcians who can compete in the different elections, the future of the country, and of a party can depend on one person only, in some way, it showes the weakness of that party.
On the other hand, all those politicians who are against this reform, omit that in some countries, like u. s. .a, people choose their judges in popular elections, some of them are partisan, anyway it's not what the reform proposes, because we would choose just the members of the magistrates counceall. Judiciary power is the most reactionary and conservative one, of the three powers of the state, and it's necesary to democratize it.
Beside, everybody know, including those hypocrites, that links between judiciary power and politic parties have always existed. The big difference, is that if the project is promulgated, we will have the chance of removing those judges who didn't do a good work.
On the other hand, if c. f. k. wanted an adict justice, she would have a pro kichnerist suprem court, which is not the case.
like u. s. .a, people choose their judges in popular elections, some of them are partisan
You continue to distort the reality when you make a statement like this and not elaborate on it. ONLY STATES AND THEN ONLY SOME STATES ELECT JUDGES. Not one Federal level judge and ESPECIALLY the Supreme Court Justices are elected......PERIOD
Argentina's provinces are NOT sovereign like US states so you cannot compare the two.
CFK says a lot of things that are blatant lies, so it is understandable that people don't take her at face value.
I, like others, will only believe she doesn't want another term in power when she doesn't run for reelection. If her party wants to change the constitution, the so be it, but if she is a woman of her word she will not then run so it will have been a waste of time.
#52 I agree with almost all of that comrade =) Including that there are more important constitutional reforms needed, to enshrine the gains since 2003, than just re-election, and the issues shouldn't necessarily be conflated. The idea that the Menem 1994 constitution is now eternally inviolable is absurd. But on re-elction, while I agree that all parties, and especially the left as it is based on the mass of the people and their struggles, must be based on more than one personality, I do think the people should have the right to elect whoever they want, with as few artificial obstacles as possible. Personally I think the Chilean (one term, no re-election) or Chilean (no immediate re-election) are better versions of term limits than the American (two consecutive terms and thats it, leading to a highly artificial electoral cycle where a first term president is always campaigning for a second term, then is immediately a lame duck when he gets one), though at least in Argentina I think there is the prospect of re-election after an off term, so Cristina could return at the next election but one even without constitutional change =) But as I say I don't want any term limits at all, perhaps based on my own county's system which has never had any =)
#53 So you would like Cristina to just appoint the judges then, like in the US Supreme Court system? =)
1-where did I saw that?
2--the USA appointment of national judges is more than a presidential appointment, read some about the process. Federal judges are sent to the president from members of Congress from the states that the judges are filling. Supreme Court Justices are nominated by the Administration and approved by congress.....no guarantee. Do you recall Bush's nominee pulling out?
3-I give not one flying shit of concern how kirchner try's to further corrupt the system..........here path to destroying the country is nearing completion.
BK you know that highway that is incomplete you see coming into Buenos Aires from the north? It's been like that (overpass supports and no road surface) for maybe 15 years........when do you think they will complete that.......or remove it? What was you thoughts when you first saw that?
Trick question, as some people attack me for, I've never seen it! But perhaps friends who are Argentine like Axel or Think can give their view of the road, and as they are always free about the imperfections in their own country they may even confirm your story, while if they don't, they'll have a lot of credibility...
If they've been to the city, Buenos Aires that is, they know what I am talking about it's right after you pass villa 31 on the right coming into the city from the regional airport. My father in law is 71 and cannot even remember when and why it was started.
perhaps friends who are Argentine like Axel or Think can give their view of the road, and as they are always free about the imperfections in their own country
right along that highway bk, all the pilons and supports are there from the highway from no way without decking, waiting to be finished. Ask them if this is another of the unfinished projects, or are they just waiting for a demand? Because if anyone has been on that highway on a a Sunday trying to get back into BA, you'll see the demand as you are parked on the highway.
To refresh his father in law “weak memory” I can tell that a brainless plan of criss- crossing Buenos Aires with nine ugly highways was pushed through by the military dictatorship in 1976……
Under the leadership of the most turnipy Brigadier Osvaldo Cacciatore.
Anyhow…. The AU2 will NEVER be completed because it would today cut right through the new “Chic” area of town....: Puerto Madero.
And them “Chic” people do not want an ugly 12 lanes highway just outside their 5 million dollars apartment windows…….., do they?
You say chic and Puerto Madero as it's a bad thing........is Palermo bad too? You really hate success and wealth......yet your asslips is full of it via corruption starting with Nasty Nestors praying of and evicting people of their homes.....to outright stealing........and it will all come out in the end as Argentina goes through another collapse. It would also do harm and devastation to the wonderful villa, I believe #31.
You should never forget all you Argentine's encouraged the junta by failing to manage yourselves's. An ugly and painful truth, but the truth nonetheless. If you had continued the trend from the early 1900's as the envy of the world, perhaps Argentina would be the leader of the free world instead of a sock puppet of the outcasts.......North Korea, Iran, Syria and Argentina. But don't worry.....the Bus is paying the entrance fee soon.
BTW.....doesn't 9 Julio have enough lanes? There are enough 8 year old bare foot girls and boys walking the lanes at the light just by the Oblisk begging for coins, something I saw this year and did not a year ago.
You say “chic” and Puerto Madero as it's a bad thing........is Palermo bad too? You really hate success and wealth......yet your asslips is full of it via corruption starting with Nasty Nestors praying of and evicting people of their homes.....to outright stealing....
Yes, Think is an embittered Communist.
He has very definite ideas about distribution of 'wealth' for the many - bring it down to the lowest common denominator.
Of course, he never says a thing about the Party Elite, the K's, Timerman, etc., and their wealth.
I'm sure that Mr. Think must be comfortable - he is being paid lots to rail against inequality.
At least you should be paid lots, Think.
If not, or you will assert that it is against your principles, then you are a bigger dupe than the rest of the 'K' drones, if you live frugally or modestly while supporting their decadent lifestyles and unbridled greed.
I wonder if your very evident anger is a symptom of your own self-loathing?
If you ever had principles, as you try to portray yourself, you have certainly violated them with your association with this regime.
Anyhow…. The AU2 will NEVER be completed because it would today cut right through the new “Chic” area of town....: Puerto Madero.
And them “Chic” people do not want an ugly 12 lanes highway just outside their 5 million dollars apartment windows…….., do they?
Well Thinkedover,
that sounds like you were being snide and derogatory to me.
I'm sure any other impartial reader would say the same.
Thanks for that Think, as even Poppy seemed to imply in the great length of time he ascribed to the road in his original question, this sounds like a problem left over from the neoliberals jhe supports, nothing to do with the Ks
#67 Sounds like an accurate, matter of fact observation to me...
#71 Well I suppose if they were strict Muslims, they wouldn't want to be aroused by such beauty! (Apologies to all concerned for riffing with this imperialist scumbag, but I couldn't resist that comeback!)
Actually Not so British_Kirchnerist, Muslims find pork unclean and pictures of really old pigs in wigs would prove extremely offensive to their religion sensitivities.
Muslims can get aroused, but pigs are a definite no-no.
So agreed, no pics of Cristina. Subjecting Muslims to pictures of an old pig would definitely be a human rights abuse.
CAPTAIN POPPY. BRITISH KICHNERIST.
BK: Thank you, i agree on most you said.
CAPTAIN: I know that only in some states in u. s. a. people choose judges, not in all the states. I'm not distorting anything, anyway, i commented about it, because i wanted to say that the reform that is being discussed, is not much different to existent mechanisms in other countries. Beside, if the project is promulgated, we will choose the members of the counceall only.

So I chose stealing
Running around, trying to confiscate everything
But nothing impressed me at all
I never expected it to
Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance
And as for fortune, and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired
They are illusions
They are not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me
Have I said too much?
There's nothing more I can think of to say to you.
But all you have to do is look at me to know
That every word is true
#18 maybe a lockdown of the city BS.AS is needed with the whole population situated there to get out and show their disgust at the government
May 15th, 2013 - 10:37 pm - Link - Report abuse 0A disgust many, indeed most, of them don't have...

I can only think that you mean this Churchill: http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/multimedia/archive/00322/churchill_322982c.jpg
He probably admires her legs as an alternative to tree-trunks for somewhere to piss....... and he obviously likes the sound of a bitch yapping...so, yes, I agree. Churchill would love her.

BTST (By the same token) I'm '85% dead' ... but I look GREAT!
When you have CFK's disorder, her problems, her melancholy, etc., is there any wonder she looks old, and older than her chronology?
I - on the other hand - have NO problems. ...

May 16th, 2013 - 09:26 pm - Link - Report abuse 0SHE DIDN'T SAY IT TWICE, SHE SAID IT THRICE.
May 17th, 2013 - 03:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The first time that she said she wasn't interested in changing the constitution, was at the harvard conference last year, when she was asked about that posibility.
May 17th, 2013 - 06:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You continue to distort the reality when you make a statement like this and not elaborate on it. ONLY STATES AND THEN ONLY SOME STATES ELECT JUDGES. Not one Federal level judge and ESPECIALLY the Supreme Court Justices are elected......PERIOD
Argentina's provinces are NOT sovereign like US states so you cannot compare the two.

Seriously does anyone believe a word that she says? They have a habit of not telling the whole truth.( from experience )
May 17th, 2013 - 10:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0CFK says a lot of things that are blatant lies, so it is understandable that people don't take her at face value.
May 18th, 2013 - 12:21 am - Link - Report abuse 0I, like others, will only believe she doesn't want another term in power when she doesn't run for reelection. If her party wants to change the constitution, the so be it, but if she is a woman of her word she will not then run so it will have been a waste of time.
As per usual, time will tell.
Personally I think the Chilean (one term, no re-election) or Chilean (no immediate re-election) are better versions of term limits than the American (two consecutive terms and thats it, leading to a highly artificial electoral cycle where a first term president is always campaigning for a second term, then is immediately a lame duck when he gets one), though at least in Argentina I think there is the prospect of re-election after an off term, so Cristina could return at the next election but one even without constitutional change =) But as I say I don't want any term limits at all, perhaps based on my own county's system which has never had any =)
May 18th, 2013 - 10:45 am - Link - Report abuse 0#53 So you would like Cristina to just appoint the judges then, like in the US Supreme Court system? =)
ahem......
May 18th, 2013 - 01:22 pm - Link - Report abuse 01-where did I saw that?
But perhaps friends who are Argentine like Axel or Think can give their view of the road, and as they are always free about the imperfections in their own country they may even confirm your story, while if they don't, they'll have a lot of credibility...

right along that highway bk, all the pilons and supports are there from the highway from no way without decking, waiting to be finished. Ask them if this is another of the unfinished projects, or are they just waiting for a demand? Because if anyone has been on that highway on a a Sunday trying to get back into BA, you'll see the demand as you are parked on the highway.

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan_de_Autopistas_Urbanas#AU2_Costanera
May 19th, 2013 - 02:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You should never forget all you Argentine's encouraged the junta by failing to manage yourselves's.
