The Uruguayan 2012/13 cruise season experienced a 10% increase in the number of calls to the ports of Montevideo and Punta del Este totalling 240 and approximately 400.000 visitors between passengers and crew members. Read full article

I wonder which port(s) that was. Yes, I think we ALL know where they are: Gorgeous Toni and his mates give a real good impression to a civilised tourist.

Uruguayan Policia Touristica in MVD are very good according to some friends of ours who live there.

Some mugger is bound to think twice while multilingual armed police are patrolling the tourist haunts ready to advise tourists or snap the handcuffs on scrotes.

I wonder why The Dark Country doesn't do this? Ahh! Just realised why: the Policia would rob them themselves under the guise of a 'Tourist Charge' or together with the local thugs turn a blind eye as long as they get their kick-back.
