Paraguayan Foreign minister Jose Fernandez Estigarribia said on Monday that so far Asuncion has not received any invitation from Mercosur to attend the coming summit at the end of June, and there haven’t been any talks about the issue. Last week the Argentine ambassador in Uruguay Dante Dovena had anticipated that Paraguay would be attending the Mercosur summit. Read full article

Well, my first reaction would be to send Mercosur to hell, but after thinking about it, I would play along with all the BS and patiently wait while rapidly developing new trade agreements . Obviously, Brazil and Argentina will object, but the whole trading block is a joke. Paraguay needs to retain its independence and get away from their thug neighbors.

Paraguay needs to do what is in the best interest of Paraguay not SA. If it so happens that SA benefits from Paraguay's actions, Paraguay can tip their hats. Working in conjunction with SA countries as a whole has proved to be a disaster. Let the 3 amiga's fend for themsevles. Rest asure that not all countries in SA want to be a Bolarvarian commie. When you look at Cuba and Venezuela, as tempting as they are, they reasonable minded are say......thanks but no thanks.

Chile have Paraguay free port privileges and with an open access to the Pacific Rim, they will eventually be well ahead of their neighbors.
Thanks for the kind words Baxter.

Paraguay recieves an invitation the very second they accept Venezuela in Mercosur, simple as that.
Oh, and that imposter Franco has to leave office, of course...

Paraguay are better off in the Pacific Alliance & not with the backstabbing Mercosur trio of Arg, Brazil & Venezuela

As the other blog suggests, Mercosur would rather trade with China than with each other!!!

I would have thought that Paraguay should take the hint. If you don't get an invite you're not welcome at the party. Fortunately, there's another party just down the road. Much more Paraguay's sort of people. Polite, courteous, respectable and rich! After all, who would want to go to a party with the 3 village bullies and a wimp?

Let's see further integration with USA aligned countries AND an ever growing US Air force presence at our new base...what a nice little country.
I wonder when Brazil and Uruguay will drop out?
    It can't be long now.
