With the imminent eruption of Copahue volcano, the governor of Neuquén, Jorge Sapag, said that, “the volcano will have the last word”, and has asked to wait 72 hours, as the specialists recommended, not to give rise to false expectations amongst the evacuees. Read full article

    It is good to see that this time the Neuquén Provincial emergency services are working correctly. At the start of the Puyehue emergency things did not go so well. Our people seem to have got their act together this time.

    My congratulations to Governor Sapag for his sensible words to the press, for once he is doing the right thing!!!!!!
