Argentina's nationalized energy company YPF will sue the head of Repsol SA over accusations that YPF's board members were overpaid when the Spanish oil major held a majority stake in the company, the government said. Read full article
No I do not like Europeans. They love bragging about their accomplishments from their long history, and at the same time renege any wrong doing of their crimes and wicked acts they inflicted on a large portion of the world.
@8
Just a minute. Has Argentina paid their debts? Don't think so. You lot always avoid paying its debts, so why should REPSOL pay if found guilty. What court will they have to attend, Argentina or Madrid?
You must be Mapuche?
This is not an intractable problem. If Argentina proposes that it deducts the 38 million from the 10 billion it owes Repsol I am sure Repsol will agree in return for Argentina guaranteeing it will repay the debt by the end of June - problem solved.
This will just send yet another message to possible investors in RGland. Should you be foolish enough to set up shop here the crooks and thieves (Govmt.) will want to run your business.
@1 I've travelled a lot in Spain. I haven't seen any signs of ramshackle shanty towns made from salvaged tin and corrugated iron, or wood, or cardboard. With streets littered with garbage and excrement. Where there is no running water or sewage disposal, unless it rains. And where electricity is obtained by illegal connections to power lines!
@3 The diseases are strange because we've moved beyond spirit healers and witch doctors. We now know how they come to be and how to cure them. No more need for the local shaman trying to pick out who put a curse on you. But I'd like to help. If you stop eating all that genetically-modified stuff laced with all those nasty chemicals AND all that nasty meat contaminated with growth hormones and veterinary drugs, you'd feel a lot better. The double vision, the shakes, the overwhelming urge to mate with individuals of the same gender, the mental instability will gradually fade away. You will become more streamlined. Especially after your balls (if any) drop off.
@5 Would you like a list of argie crimes? All of which were committed by someone else. Of course, according to argies, no argie has ever committed a crime. In addition, despite the fact that, according to official figures, 97% of the argie population is classified as European, argies actually sprang, fully formed, from the soil. Or fell from the sky. But not from Europe.
@8 Strange that. A lot of people say the same thing. So why doesn't argieland settle its debts currently in excess of US$100 billion. Plus the US$10 billion it owes Repsol. Plus war reparations to the Falkland Islanders.
@14 Not until its been made into a going and profitable concern. Then they steal it and ruin it. Because they don't know how to run anything. Except possibly a bent poker game.
I guess Galuccio is feeling the heat, the so called savior of YPF & defender of Argie control over it´s natural resources is finding out it´s more difficult to save a dinosaur than he first thought.
What happened to CFK´s promises of increased production & less reliance on imported oil??? We have seen the exact opposite with decreased production &
record oil imports draining the bank reserves even more....... I think they realize that Repsol´s performance wasn´t that bad after all
As for Troll to Troll he´s still angry that his European father abandoned him as a child once he realized how dumb & ugly he was.......poor baaastard!!!
LOL! KCF is just pissed she wasn't asked to join the board.
As for production, shouldn't YPF have quadrupled it's production by now under the “leadership” of KFC's handpicked minions?
On the Petrobas article the reporter is talking about a corruption conflict of interest - as Petrobas prepares to divest itself of some of its holdings in Argentina, CFK et al are attempting to take advantage of the situation to grab them for themselves.
I'm sure that she sees the advantages of personally controlling the country's energy sector. She has created the climate to drive the legitimate owners out.
Actually she was represented on the board by her front man Mr. Eskenazi, who was given 25% of the shares that were paid for out of the illegal dividends paid out by Repsol, the last 6% of which were returned to Repsol because of non payment after the theft of their 51% shares!!!!!!!!!

This is the topic, stupid Euros (YPF) meddling where they got no business to meddle. Just pay the settlement and problem solved.
