How friendly he is with the UK . Could it be that I read correctly that at the OAS meeting , just a few days ago , Colombia voted against the UK ? In quite strong terms if I remember !

Politics and logic seldom meet. All politicians ( legit ones, not thieves like kirchners) shake hands, kiss cheeks as they take kids lollipops. It sounds deplorable but they do what is in the best interest of their country and not their neighbors or friends. The real challenge is not to push friends away as they serve their national interests. But their is always exceptions.

2 True , but no need for such a robust approval for the Argentine claim ! One understands that Latin solidarity calls for a vote in favour , but no need to make a speech .

Colombia didn't vote AGAINST the UK. It voted FOR “negotiations in order to find, as soon as possible, a peaceful solution to the sovereignty dispute”

That is not agains the UK. The UK wishes for the same thing. The UK recognises that there is a sovereignty claim by Argentina. It just doesn't recognise the foundation or basis for any if the Argentine claims.

What you will notice is that the UK doesn't force the sovereignty dispute down every visiting dignitary's throat. It is playing the long game unlike Argentina which is playing a game of diversion to the poor suffering Argentinena public.

Honestly the world doesn't really care much about the Falkland Islands. Which is fine for the UK and forever frustrating for Argentina.

Even I support Argentina's legitimate rights over the Falkland Islands. However I have yet to ever actually see a legitimate right.

Any legitimate right Argentina may have had, and that is questionable, was signed away in 1850. There is no sovereignty dispute except in their minds.

it's a pity Hector Timmerman is terrified of Jan Cheek, otherwise negotiations in order to find a peaceful solution to the sovereignty dispute could have started.

Quite was is terrifying of an 8th generation islander, who is seven generations less an “implant” than Timmerman...I am not so sure.

It may have escaped notice, but Brazil sent a P-3 Orion to RAF Lossiemouth to take part in the NATO Joint Warrior exercise.

I was led to believe by our “Argie friends” that NATO was not welcome in S.A. and that they wanted nothing to do with them.
Apparently Colombia and Brazil think otherwise !

I have said many times the other nations in Latin America are INDEPENDENT and can pursue whatever relations with Europe as they wish.

What they cannot do is DRAG Argentina into trade deals, or military agreements with the UK or Europe or the USA. That will never happen because we have no need for them.

Our problems are nothing compared to every single other country in Latin America, or the USA. Don't worry about us.

I thank my stars I will never see CFK in one of those fake friendship pictures with Cameron, Obama, Hollande, Rajoy, or Merkel.

It's not about self-sufficiency (though in that we are far closer than any of you, if any country in Europe, the USA, or Latin America including the precious Pacific alliance were cut off from the world and finance, you would collapse within a week... Argentina would not because we have distanced ourselves from trade, military, and financial dependency).

But most importantly, we don't like you people. Generally, people tend not to like those who treat you and see you as a lesser form of life, which is the mentality of the British/European/American/etc towards the 'argie'.

We are not friends, you can argue that is Argentina's fault “at THIS moment”, but it is so. And historically the UK has been the aggressor, and that we never forget. Not in 100 years not in 200 not in 1000.

@22 What you don't seem to understand is that you don't deserve to be alive. You have no idea how restrained we have been. For your illegal, unprovoked attack on OUR territory, an attack that was condemned by the UN Security Council, what we should have done is to decimate your “country”. We should have reduced argieland to a population of less than a million. And one day, we will. We have not forgotten or forgiven. You killed 255 British servicemen. You killed 3 Falkland Islanders. That is a debt that can only be paid in blood. 150,000 argies for every Brit or Falklander killed. That's the price. And, one day, you will pay!

Actually no. RAF Lossiemouth, in Moray, is an air station which at present holds the bulk of the Tornado ground attack aircraft. In addition, next year, the air defence and ground attack variants of the Typhoon will move there on closure of RAF Leuchars in Fife.
The Navy base at Faslane on the Clyde, is home to the Trident submarines.

    Yes yes Nostrils.

Have you sought help for these feverish outbursts? Surely not helping your studies.

Hard to believe that the world never knew the existence of war until it was invented by the “anglos”. Perhaps they should have trademarked it? Guess Argentina would probably have a larger foreign debt then with all the royalties it would owe the “anglos”.

Mate, you are so sick these days. The waves of sheer desperation and stench of your powerlessness has made you into the most ridiculed poster on here.

Don't get me wrong. It is great to see. Trapped in Mendoza with no hope to escape. Your parents must be working their arses off to try and keep a roof over you and your siblings heads and still put food on the table. Savings have evaporated I guess. The hubris and optimism of the past decade is rotting away more and more every month and your family slides backwards AGAIN.

But we tried to warn you. You could have prepared a little better. But you are too intelligent (though extremely mentally unstable) to miss the growing concern and signs everywhere you go.

I, on the other hand, promotion and new job this week with huge pay increase (higher than your real inflation rate). Have to drop to part time study for a year, but more than offset by my ability to spend several months in South America next year again. Especially considering your tax dollars are being used by your government to offered subsidised flights to BsAs from Sydney. So if you can find someone who actually pays tax, say thanks from me. Their hard work is helping this well-off “anglo” afford an even better holiday in South America.

I always marvel at how everyone here feels this urge to tell me how much the make, how intelligent they are, how much their raise was, the fact they go on vacations in Paris and London for the weekend, eat 1000 dollar dinners, talk to Polo players, have masters in math and applied sciences, live in some seaside historic home in the south of England, travel the world as easy as others their sidewalk, helped invent touch-screens, have six figure retirement savings... have I missed any? These of course are the compilation of claims made by all of you: Anglotino, Yankeeboy, Elaine, Andy, Chris, toooldtodieyoung, and so many others I have missed.

And in spite of al that, you cannot defeat a poor struggling teenage boy that has never left a medium size city in the western part of a semi-desertic steppe.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Funny, I don't need to brag, except about my superior intelligence not because I want to, but because it is self-evident regardless so why not at least vaunt it.

And I am not even TRYING to argue with any of you. And still I win. If I actually put my mind to it, and had all the money, travel, and years you all have, I would be arrested for abuse against the mentally handicapped.

If you have to tell people that you have a 'superior' intelligence then you haven't actually got one.

Now if you actually posted witty and intelligent posts, then people would be more likely to believe you to be intelligent.

But unfortunately the standards of your posts leave a lot to be desired. You post outrageously biased and racist claims that you either don't or more likely CANNOT back up with EVIDENCE.

Being a 'superior' intelligence, you should know the difference between your own opinion and reality.

Everyone has, and is entitled to their own opinion, but unless you can back it up with evidence then that is all it will remain.

And when the 'discussion isn't going your way, you sulk. Then you get angry and start insulting people, then you somehow believe that means you've won, when you have lost.

As for the actual story. What Colombia does is no ones business but Colombia's themselves. The rest of LATAM, especially the likes of Argentina and Venezuela should keep their noses out of their business, and attempt to arrest the impending disaster on your economies.

I have never ever claimed that you AREN'T intelligent - the opposite.
I have also never claimed to have met famous or exciting people - not pertinent.
I have never claimed to be intelligent - and yet you keep telling me you are.
I have never told you how much I earn - I didn't even say I will earn a lot.

For someone who is so intelligent, you aren't very clever. And I have been telling you for months THAT YOU CAN'T ARGUE. You seem to have continually deluded yourself into thinking that you have bested me somewhere along the way in the past 7 months. A bad case of Malvinitis I think; you misremember the past based on lies.

You can't critically think. You can't research. You can't ARGUE.

Please just once link me with a post where you have “defeated” me.

    Just one.

Shouldn't be difficult for someone with such superior intelligence that is so evident in everything your write.

    Just one.

Because when the arguing gets too difficult, you just disappear. I have never run from arguing with you ONCE.

You can't seem to get your head around being a young adult. The world does not act like a petulant 5 year old who cracks the shits and goes home when the going gets tough. You were obviously bought up to believe that the world is your oyster and you can achieve anything you wish. And then you got older and realised it was a lie. You realised you are cut off from the world and can't be cosmopolitan world citizen, but instead a sad voyeur that gets to watch from the sidelines via the internet.

Your country's growth has stalled, your inflation is rampant and your government is about to have a balance of payments crisis and yet you are SO INTELLIGENT that you can't see it but think we are just here to make shit up?

Also thanks for confirming you are a teenager. It was blatantly obvious to everyone already though. So nice when you prove us right.

I don't need you or anyone else who is a bloody foreigner to tell me what goes on in my own country. When you respect that, you will get respect from me.

I'm am not interested in Argentina to be part of the world. For what, so that it is insulted, humiliated, and abused by the likes of people like the ones here in this forum? Because their sentiments are the exact sentiments their governments have. No thank you, rather be isolated than in such rancid company.

    Nostrils

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that I crave “respect” from you. Why would I deign to accept such respect, let alone want it?

We tell you what is going on in your country because you ignore it. You run away. You say you don't talk to foreigners about it. So therefore we shall talk amongst ourselves.

Argentina is part of the world. You can't leave this planet. You are stuck here. Argentina will forever more be surrounded by other countries either in their current form or not. However Argentina will NEVER cease to have boundaries with other countries.

It will NEVER be able to remove itself from interacting with other countries. It is not possible.

So it doesn't really matter what you want. It won't happen. This is what I spoke about. You were told you were capable of doing and being anything you wanted. But reality as a young adult sucks for you. You can't change anything about your world. You are powerless.

Argentina has weakened itself so much that it is unable to stand up for what it wants. Hedge funds are chasing it for money so much that it has to be careful about where government assets are in foreign countries. The UK hardly rates the Argentine government as mention-worthy. Chile, Brazil and Uruguay shudder at the thought of dealing with CFK. People won't sell you anything without cash up front and people are buying less and less of what you produce.

And it won't change by anything you do or say.

You are nothing but a teenager trapped by the actions of others that you cannot control. Enjoy your life.

You don't seem to get it: YOU AIN'T IMPORTANT and neither is your country in its current form.

So either drink more alcohol and/or descend further into the cesspool of your own mental instability. There is no manner in which you can influence anything.

And the best part. You can't stop reading it either. Now there is a mental health issue.

You can't bring yourself to leave this forum. So keep reading like the good boy you are.

@28 You've got your fingers crossed, haven't you? I can tell. I want to give you a new experience. Are you ready? This is a THOUGHT. All the time we've been in Afghanistan, why hasn't China taken our “war toys” away? Let's go back 60 years. The Korean War. China thought it could “help” North Korea by sending waves of banshees against our positions. Starting from the baseline that China etc had twice as many troops as the UN. And what happened? We mowed them down. Result? China et al had more than FOUR times as many DEAD as the UN. Quality over quantity, see!
@30 Oh no. You misinterpret. Here's a couple of FACTS. YOU started a war. Not “the junta”, YOU. WE finished it. Here's a little tip. YOU can't beat US. WE are so much better than YOU. YOU celebrate a war that YOU started. YOU pay homage to YOUR troops that YOU got killed. And then, just to cap it, YOU LOST! Because OUR troops were/are better. Because OUR aircraft were/are better. Because OUR pilots were/are better. Because WE will always defend what is OURS. Territory and people. So much aggression and so many aggressors killed. Definitely something to be proud of. Especially since there isn't one single “innocent” argie!
@32 “you cannot defeat a poor struggling teenage boy that has never left a medium size city in the western part of a semi-desertic steppe.” But then you daren't even go there. Just one of the “features” of being a coward!
@34 You may not have thought of this, but it's because you're a deluded tosser. You have NO concept of how the world works. Just look at your faggoty little country importing billions of dollars worth of energy. Don't want our goods? Fine. Then you can't have energy either. Freeze and starve. Don't care.
