Colombia establishes closer information security links with NATO

Colombia and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization signed an agreement on information security that will allow exploring future cooperation and consultation in areas of common interest. The agreement was signed on Tuesday in Brussels by NATO Secretary General Ambassador Alexander Vershbow and the Defense Minister of Colombia, Juan Carlos Pinzón Bueno. Read full article

Im surprised that the Mighty CFK and other South American countries have not asked to join NATO.

Perhaps in return they will let Europe join O.A.S,

It will be interesting to see 1stly how other South American countries react to this news. Not to mention the Trolls on here. 2ndly how Colombia will react to say Royal Navy vessels making scheduled visits.

The RN is one of the oldest navies in the world.

I am sure they will only be glad to pass on some of their experience to the Columbian Navy.

The rest can look on and miss the chance to benefit from that experience.
