Talking of monies. The UK is no longer going to throwing millions of pounds, through WB at the waste of space that is Argentina.

It is a far better that support is given to the Falkland Islands. There the investment is sound.

You appear to have been infected by the KFC regime and show the same symptoms as that international exposed ninny, your very own Dopey Timerman. He yaps in a tourette manner also about those fantasy islands malvinas.

@1 But isn't it nice to see that argieland, once the world's leading beef exporter, has “dropped off”. As of May 2013, Brazil exported 1.3 million tons, little Uruguay exported 350,000 tons, democratic Paraguay exported 210,000 tons whilst useless, corrupt, criminal argieland could only export 183,000 tons. Not too many dollars to be made there! Seems as though the world has recognised that argie beef is dangerous. Too many drugs, too many artificial hormones, too much greed. Eat the stuff yourselves. Then we can watch as you get sick, succumb to mental incapacity, die. Taste of your own “medicine”.

Talking of momies...... The UK (as the USA) are voting against lending millions of Pounds through the World Bank to Argentina.......

But the World Bank will, despite the negative vote from the UK (and the USA), continue lending millions of Dollars to Argentina.....

Where are you....... MP's very own Captain America?
Having looked through dozens of articles……….it's exactly as I said it was.
The phrase has been argued and debated many times by many scholars and they all draw their own conclusions………..and why is this?
Because the context of the line in question is ambiguous.
This is a link to one of the most balanced arguments…..
    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/04/22/did-ben-franklin-actually-think-liberty-was-more-important-than-security/
If you feel you are more qualified to explain it better……..then the stage is yours, jump up onto the podium and impress us all.
But do bear in mind..... if the US Government didn't think that it pertained to Liberty then why bother having this inscribed on a plaque in the stairwell of the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty:
“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

How much was the financial loss this season?
    Isn't it about £526,000?

Argentina would kill to only owe that sum of money-although of course they never pay it back.

Well as Argentina doesn't need £200 mil of UK aid anymore, a small sliver of that would help the Islanders.

Your a dumber fuck you you lead us all to believe. In that lovely, overused quote, Franklin, was responding and writing to the Governor of Pennsylvania on November 11, 1755 with respect to taxing the landowners in order to secure the British army to protect the frontier settlements during the French and Indian war. The Penn family owned most of Pennsylvania and did not want to pay an annual tax. They offered the settlers a short term fix.... money to purchase guns to protect themselves and the Governor was in favor of that opposing taxation.
Temporary purchased security.....the guns versus the might of the British Army.........Essential liberty? The right of the people to impose taxation through elected officials and to make that choice themselves.
This is something you cannot get from the internet and something you need to discuss in s forum. Read the actual entire writing. Would you like the volume and page? I gave you the date.
Again.....you spent three days looking. Try Yale University.
Again as I said before, you are ignorant to the actual context unless you read the letter in it's entirely. Do not confuse on other occassions when Franklin uses essential liberty and liberties. It is different for you to think you can be wrong but you are not only wrong you are an idiot for your arrogance.

I can post another half dozen links saying the same thing........and you will just deny it............because.............you're.......STUPID

The context of the line in question is ambiguous. It comes after a reference to the frontiersmen of Pennsylvania, and is not directly made with reference to the Penn family, the “Proprietary commission” or any other governing body. Rather, the line that precedes it is, “We have taken every Step in our Power, consistent with the just Rights of the Freemen of Pennsylvania, for their Relief, and we have Reason to believe, that in the Midst of their Distresses they themselves do not wish us to go farther.” In other words, Franklin can quite plausibly be read as saying, “We have gone as far to ensure security as residents of Pennsylvania actually want, and if they don’t want us to go further, we won’t. After all, giving up one’s liberty in the name of security means you deserve neither liberty nor security.”

I am not the only one to know that........most of the history professors in the USA know that.......everyone BUT your internet discussion forum links.......lol
I understand you must read other peoples interpretation of his writings, but did YOU read his letter in it's entirety? Such as in the opening“
”The House came together at this Time with the sincerest Dispositions to avoid, if possible, all Disputes with the Governor on any Account whatever. And being deeply affected with the present distressful Circumstances of the Frontier Counties, determined to do, for the publick Safety and Welfare, every Thing that could reasonably be expected from them, either as dutiful Subjects to the Crown, or Lovers of their Country.“

Or when he is directly talking about the governor exempting taxation on Penn's land:

”during the Continuance of the Act, the Crown should think fit to declare, that the Estates of the Proprietaries in this Province ought to be exempted, in such Case the Tax, tho’ assessed, shall not be levied, or if any Part has been levied, the same shall be refunded to the Proprietaries, and an additional Tax laid on the People to supply the Deficiency.“

This entire writing is about taxation. The only thing on Lady Liberty is the poem ”New Colosssus”

IS NOT inscribed on a plaque in the stairwell of the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty: ??.........Haha you are kidding me surely???
You've been Wiki reading again......and you are such a liar you don't know anything.....do you know this?......
The Franklin ”letter” you are referring to was actually written in 1775 and not 1755. It does not show up at all in the 197 letters that Franklin wrote from 1737-1783. It does however show up in the 1775 “notes for a proposition at the Pennsylvania Assembly”, as published in “Memoirs of the life and writings of Benjamin Franklin” (1818). Although attributed to Franklin the actual citation in the notes was put in quotes - a strong indication that the material was being quoted and not original material. Finally, the quote “Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety“ is found on the title page of ”An Historical Review of the Constitution and Government of Pennsylvania” which was published, by Franklin, in 1759 but was actually authored by Richard Jackson.

That quote in his letter as I stated numerous times......to the governor as I specifically stated was in 1755 and you stated that letter was actually 1775. That letter is in the government archives in Pennsylvania as he was an Assemblyman at the time.
This is not about the quote in general, it is about the quote the Benjamin Franklin used in that letter in 1755 to the Governor of Pennsylvania over taxing ALL land owners and not exempting some.
As Hep C said......to quote Ben Franklin again.
I have never heard that quote earlier than the assemblymen's letter. I could be wrong. Until you I err. But can you show me where in USA documents it is published? I provided you with the November 11, 1755 letter.

Agree current situation of 1/2Million K loss is not good - but the principle is that £2.5 million went into the farms where it is badly needed - and a mere cost to the FI taxpayer (not the UK at all) of £0.5 million so £1 became £5 - not bad value.
Fail to see the connection with the EU? That funding has come from the entire EU -not the UK - if the Uk was to fund spomething here(they dont) then they would do it direct - whay on earth would they do it through the EU?

Firstly……., the Abbattoir’s ”principal role” seems to be a headless administrative decision to “support and diversify Camp” by producing the same booooring frozen, one year old “lambmuttons” as everybody else in the world does…………......... at a much higher cost.

What about producing premium quality CHILLED 10 kg Milk-fed lambs…......... or CHILLED six months old Spring lambs…...... or CHILLED 20 kg. Sucker salt marsh lambs?

Secondly….., the €4.13 million you Kelpers just got from the European Development Fund (EDF) come from ”VOLUNTARY” donations from EU member Countries to the said Fund….; NOT from the EU normal budget…..
The UK finances their Colonies indirectly through the EU to avoid having to explain to their Electorate why each of you ~2,500 Richy Rich English Kelpers gets an extra subsidy of ~ € 1,700 …..

Oh do give up your silly baseless and factless crap about the EU and the UK - and where that 4.3m euros came from. ALL the Dependent territories of Member States- UK-France-Holland are elegible for an allocation of Dev funding.
I would agree though that it surprised me abit given our GDP and per capita income etc - but guess Brussels thought otherwise.

    1) If Iceland can.....; you can too.....
Stop whining and blaming the pastures!
    You sound almost Argentinean ;-)

    2) All my EU facts are just that......... facts. Check them out.
Where did I say that England was the only Ex Colonial power using that trick?

Think - and where is Icveland close to for high value premium fresh meat market? Let me see its wealtrhy north America and western Europe.
Where is the nearest market for the Falklands for that stuff? - hardly going to be a seller in S America much is it!

Iceland also happens to have a lot more fertile a soil than we do - where they have some.

Show me the evidence where England has ever paid £1 into the EU? I think you will find that UK or GB if you like) has but never England.
Show us the linked and definative trail then that shows that those Member States particularily channel their own EU Contributions through to their own Overseas territories?

    1) What has proximity to the ”High Value Premium Fresh Meat Market” to do with anything ???
You just put them Young Spring Lamb cuts into some nice Cryovac bags and keep them at about 37 degrees during the 4-6 weeks boat trip to USA - Europe.
That's essentially the time needed for the wet-aging process to properly tenderize the meat…...
No rocket science here, mate…............. Them Ozzies do it all the time.

    2) What has ”More Fertile Soil in Iceland” to do with anything ???
You just have to slaughter them bloody sheep earlier, thats all, mate…..
But no…. you prefer to produce the ”Good Ol’ Frozen Mutton 365”….
Just have a look at them carcasses in this article’s picture, Mr. Islander1
They are almost the size of cows....
No wonder you are losing money by the bucket....

“well how in hell do you feed that type of lamb on our pastures in our climate”

Can't you plant more Tussac Grass for the long term, (I appreciate this cannot happen overnight) and have more controlled grazing when new sections of Tussac mature, rather than allowing graze out?
