Brazil Foreign minister Antonio Patriota said he expects that Paraguay president-elect Horacio Cartes will accept the return to Mercosur following his taking office ceremony scheduled for next August 15. Read full article
Regardless of whether Paraguay returns to Mercosur or not, the damage to the treaty´s reputation by both illegaly integrating Venezuela and giving Maduro the presiding chair.
Celac for Raul Castro, Mercosur for Maduro, this only shows the follies of Brazilian and Argentian foreign policies, instead of creating a more vibrant, more wealthy south american community, they are bringing more poverty to the region, more social chaos and more political regression than ever.
This man lives in a world far removed from reality ! It is true that Cartes has not yet taken over as president but the current president , Franco , has fully supported the Cartes position as has the current foreign minister , Frernandez Estigarribia . Pariota must understand that this is the position of the current and incoming governments . The illegal ousting from Mercosur has woken up the people of Paraguay . And , to add insult to injury , the illegal entry of Venezuela .
It seems strange to me that an elected politician can be so demented. The Foreign Minister of Brazil is an imbecile. Does he think that, by repeating this crap, he can persuade Paraguay to ignore the insult to its integrity, sovereignty, democracy? no reprisals for the Paraguayan people or impediments to trade. Oh, goody. So mercothingy thought about taking reprisals against the people of Paraguay for complying with their constitution? Of course there were no impediments to trade. How would Brazil and argieland survive without the electrical power they steal from Paraguay? A beautiful stitch-up. Remove a country's right to control its destiny, but carry on stealing its resources. If Cartes accepts this he can immediately take the prize as latam's most stupid president. There will be considerations of economic viability, but mercosur is declining whilst the Pacific Alliance is ascending. What's most important? Political compliance or economic prosperity? Do the right thing, Snr Cartes. Punch mercosur in the face and then kick it in the balls. Take a leaf out of argieland's book. Cut off electrical power to argieland and Brazil, unless they pay a proper price. Eject Brazilians and argies from your country. Seize their assets and property. Deal on YOUR terms or don't deal!
Rouseff can say what she likes about “We are all committed to attend the ceremony of president Cartes” said Rousseff who added that the suspension was a ‘political’ decision with no reprisals for the Paraguayan people or impediments to trade, ‘which actually increased’.
Interpretation:
We all kicked you in the balls over this but don't blame US: it's only political.
AND:
“President Cartes is about to take office and this is a motive of joy and hope for all the presidents”, underlined Rousseff.
Interpretation:
Look you lot, you scared the shit out of us all getting rid of the Flock Shagger because it could have given our citizens the idea they could do it as well, So we will be pleased if you overlook that we presidents are collectively a bunch of cunts (biologically correct for all three in reality).
