Sorry, you're screwed. Here are a couple of important factors. Honesty and integrity. Mercosur has neither. Could any organisation with argieland in it have either? If the EU has any sense, and sometimes it does, it will seek talks with the Pacific Alliance instead. With Chile and Paraguay as members, much more chance of honesty and integrity. Despite its narcotics history, Colombia appears to be making progress. I will be advising my MEPs accordingly.
The other point he conveniently forgets to mention is that the EU would like a clarification of the Paraguay position in ,or not in , Mercosur ! You will all remember that all EU ambassadors remained in Asuncion after the legal change of Government . They ,like anybody else , can read the Asuncion Treaty creating Mercosur . And the conditions for allowing in new members !
Almagro and Patriota, you both should have taken this into account before suspending Paraguay from Mercosur. Now it is too late, so you'll just have to live with the new tariff values!!!!!!!
Uruguay is presently 'governed' by a bunch of idiots (and I am being VERY kind here) led by a president who is experiencing the onset of senility by all accounts and there is another year to go before anything cam improve.
Simon68 has got it spot on and Almagro has fucked the country for the sake of Venezuela and the other super morons who will be along shortly (the Cowpat and the Banana Bender of Ecuador).
It really is as if this twat and his mates cannot think on more than one problem at a time.
