No worries, we will do as we always do, lie, cheat and steal the elections. You think this worries us? Far from it. If that does not work we have Maximo and his following to come out and coerce the less fortunate's to vote our way.

.........and now we witness the rape and destruction of the land and the greed........I've witnessed it in PA USA ......any one with over a couple of acres flocking to lease their land to the exploiters..........huge flames on the horizon burning for days the companies unable to put them out....... neighbours water wells ignitable, contaminated with gas......lakes contaminated.......huge numbers of migrant workers flocking to areas.........it goes on and on. The UK and Argentina have no idea what they are letting themselves in for.........you may laugh, but not for long.

The job is only half done and the Kirchnerites need more time.

'Argentina is once again wrestling with its long-time enemy, inflation. Now it appears history may soon repeat itself, as Argentina teeters on the edge of another currency crisis. Capital controls and a deteriorating account balance - coupled with anti-business policies - have put a squeeze on the Argentine peso.'

The beltway must really suck , three hours on a weekday and you're making good time. Thank good for google maps. Do you enjoy Phili this time of the year? But Phili is a tough approach, one of my most hated....but there is the Steeltown airport as well. Check out the Museum there, it's really impressive, but I am sure that you have.

@12 that´s impossible I´m afraid. The deputies and senators renewed are the ones from 2009, when CFK also lost. Even then they got 30% of the votes, enough to keep a mayority. According to the polls, they´ll also get at least 30% and they´ll still win in all save the wealthy provinces and Capital Federal. At best they´ll lose one or two guys but they just need to bribe more politicians. The only winner in these elections is Massa, who is very much like Kirchner, but not as insane as Cristina YET.
The Kirchners aren´t lost until 2015 and even then their followers will still join the winner and do the same stuff as now.

Exactly Yankee......he may have come thru customs from argentina in the airports, I have, but driving to the same place........3 hours.....JFK and Dulles and then to compare it to driving from Toronto........that's the biggest joke. He relies on mapquest too much the the reality of that drive. In the best case.....maybe 7 hours to Phili......6 hours to Pittsbugh....again ideal traffic conditions. Anything in between Phili and Pittsbugh is even longer. A lot of country and minor highways in PA...........3 hours.......you turnup of a liar!!!!......lol

    Newark to location……186 miles
    JFK to location………..212 miles
Niagara Falls American side to location 221 miles
You are right I forgot to add on the extra hour it takes to get to Pearson International Canadian side I was just thinking State wise.
Also I never adhere to speed limits as I can not get endorsements only fines.....so it's always foot down in the States and watch out for patrol cars hidden in the median on an overpass or the brow of a hill maybe behind a billboard like in the movies but I haven't seen one there yet.
Only been caught once at 90 mph.......paid the fine to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania!

“If President Cristina Fernandez, or her acolytes, want her to bid again for the presidency she must have a clear majority in congress to amend the constitution”

Thats rubbish; yes, Cristina needs a majority to change the constitution and run again (something I seem to be more in favour of than her at the moment!) but how can a defeat in these elections prevent an “acolyte” (love the unboiased terminology!) ie a supporter of the left project to stand in two years time?!

Btw as #21 says Massa is not as insane as Cristina, yet, does that mean he's a good lefty too? Why is he running against her candidates, simple opportunism or is there any difference of policy?

Finally, what a nice picture =) And congratulations to Cristinita on the birth of her first grandchild, Nestor, which doesn't seem to have been covered here. Maximo's beaten Wills and Kate to it in the baby race! But of course there was no ”(the royal) we have become a grandmother” from the people's iron lady =)

Yes, he´s a lefty, not that I could ever find much sense in the left and right monikers. Of course Massa is an opportunist, but all politicians are, we´ll never know what his policy will be until he becomes President. Not that is matters, all Peronists will just steal and screw the people regardless of “policy”, that´s their goal. And as long as the Peronists pull all the strings and the people keep believing the problem are the politicians rather than the system nothing will change.

    @65 The Truth PaTroll: “760... ”

Read the story again...a man fell off a roof.

He lived about half a mile from the nearest hospital, so I don't think a doctor could do much about that.

BTW Kate Middleton was about 250 miles away.

Multiply that by 5 and we have the distance from BA to Stanley. If your politicians were not so busy with their colonialist/expansionist nonsense, they might sort Argentina out.

Something really wrong with that picture...

Tobi you thinbk up late means not being able to sleep? How about it's Friday? Friday and Saturday in the USA are the days people typically go out and unwind without having to get up for work the next day. You could not find that in the internet........or the work concept foreign to you. BTW, 3 zoned central air is an amazing concept.

Yankee I was talking to relatives in BA (recoletto) last night and it is extremely cold (for their winter) and it might snow on Sunday. I think the last time it snowed in BA (city) was 2005. Boston still moves through 8 to 12 inches of snow. I would love to see those maniacs driving those buses in 1 inch of snow.

    PS
Tobi.....I would abandon your post on the tomato article also with your post on trade deficits equals debt.....foolish little boi

We steal, pillage and plunder from the Argentine serf's all in the great name of Peron. We will not be done until we've destroyed everything in our path..........Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, ( Uruguay and Paraguay do not count) Venezuela. Then.....the great farm nation of Mercosur will rule the entire continent and plan the world take over......once we rid those pesky little Brits from my islands. But simple task at hand...........hahahahahahahaha!

    MY QUESTION AGAIN.
I understand that many of you must feel exultant for the result of that poll, however, there is something that you all should wonder.
Is sergio massa the anthitesis of kirchnerism, like macri, de la sota, de narvaez or carrió are?.
As an argentine citizen, and as a kirchnerist activist, i don't have a bad opinion about massa, although he is not a leftist politician, and beyond that he has a conservative origin, he is not a reactionary guy, like all the rest of the people who i named, who are aligned to the policies which became arg. into one more u. s. .a' s backyard.
While it is true that he included some conservative politicians in his politic platform, it's also true that he included economist ricardo delgado, who has a progresist ideology of economy, and former director from u. i. a., ignacio de mendiguren, who has an industrialist view like kirchnerism.
On the other hand, he praises many of the decisions taken by the government in the last 10 years, he says it all the time, like he did in página12 some weeks ago. Actually what he wants to do, is to implement a more intelligent strategy than what most his opponent colleagues did, who many of them often invalid most what kirchnerism made, such a clumsy strategy took them to the worst defeat since 1983, in the presidential elections of 2011.
Anyway, i'll vote for insaurralde, who is a great k candidat.
Respecting the so called re-reelection, c. f. k. has said in different oportunities that she's not interested in reforming the constitution, in order to include an emmendation, which allows her to run for a third period. Anyway, beyond her wishes, we can't ignore that although her party makes a good election in october, it will be hightly difficult to get the two necesary thirds of deputies and senators, in order to include that emmendation. For all these rasons, i have always said that this discussion is not more than a solgan, characteristic of most our mediocre opponent politicians.

You are both right and wrong, in the UK mineral rights do belong to the landowner except gold, silver, oil, gas and coal.
Land owners DO get paid for allowing fracking companies to use their land - just like they would if they leased it for windmills or any excavations, drilling etc.......but no royalties........“So you want to lease my land for Gas.......tempt me!”
Also licenses held by companies do not include rights of access over anyones land......so deals would have to be reached etc.

She's not able to hold any other type of forum. And the people attending? Who are they? Poor people who live in shantytowns (villas) as we call them, who are paid between 20-50 pesos to attend, they get served a sausage sandwich (called Choripan) and given cheap wine (that comes in cardboard packs called Tetra). DESPITE SOME REACTIONARY PEOPLE.
I love discussing about politic, beside, i never omit that i am a critic kirchnerist, and i have never had any problem in discussing with people who are detractors of kirchnerism. However, i stop being tolerant and respectful, when i see such a shameful lack of respect, like what A_VOICE manifested.
What A_VOICE expressed, is actually the tipicall reactionary thought, characteristic of some social sectors, who belong to the middle class, who due to the fact that they don't have enough arguments in order to refute c. f. k's policies, the only one thing that they can do, is to insult, or make misserable comparisons, publishing too partial analysis, which are based on distorted information mostly.
I have never omited that c. f. k's govt. has flagrant contradictions, big mistakes, or negative aspects, like some denounces of corruption cases.
I recognize them because it's necesary to have intellectual honesty, in order to discuss about something so complicated like politic is.
Anyway, despite those aspects, according to my ideologies, i have always thought that c. f. k's govt. is the best of the last 46 years, due to many of the achievements that we could get thank to her policies, and kirchner's. In my opinion, before c. f. k., the best president was d. r. arturo illia, who had ben broken down by a militar coup d'etat in 1966.
When i have some time, i am an activist in movimiento evita, and i don't get any payment in order to defend what i consider like the best for the country, like many reactionary people think. In the same way that i don't think that detractors of kirchnerism, who often protest against c. f. k's govt. get pay in order to criticise her administration.
Being detractor of any politic project, doesn't justify the lack of respect, the low level of debate, irresponsable comments, or hypocresy, which are characteristic aspects of many people in our society, and in this forum. Anyway, not all detractors are rectionary.
