Falkland Islands brought into the IMF-siding-with-Argentina controversy
The IMF decision to side with Argentina in its dispute with the US hedge funds has triggered strong criticism in the UK and the issue was brought up in Parliament, according to a piece in the Daily and Sunday Express under the heading: “The British cash cow: Fury as UK money helps Argentina fight £66bn debt”. Disclaimer & comment rulesIf Argentina has so little shame or self-worth to accept charity from a country it hates then go right ahead. My issue is not whether we lend to Argentina to help it keep its pensioners from freezing or starving to death, my issue is whether having borrowed against my childrens' future to loan them this money - how do we make sure we ever get it back again? How soon before we hear sovereignty arguments justifying non-repayment. If CDK wants the money then let her show some humility. Britain was diminished in the 70s by needing a loan but we always pay our debts and got strong again because companies knew they could do business here.

Argentina needs to suffer in order that they can learn what not to do. That they should not elect criminal politicians, they should not let the mafia ruin their lives, that they should not antagonise their neighbours and they should instead cooperate so they can benefit from the rewards.
Whilst the Mad Bitch is in power, the Argentine people will get poorer, their country will get weaker and they will be humiliated by other nations.
It's in the interests of all IMF lenders to ensure that NO loans are made to Argentina and that they are compelled to pay back ALL their debts in full, before any future loans are made.
We should not even give them humanitarian aid. They need shock-therapy to bring them back to their senses. If the ordinary Argentine people could not eat, the Mad Bitch would not be in power for long.
All this British funding Argentina debt is tenuous rubbish,but it does cause a smile.

7. If I remember correctly they it allows them more drawing rights. It is irrelevant because I don't see the IMF accepting the new Indec algorithm nor Argentina restating the last decade of GDP and Inflation data by eom Sept. before Arg undergoes final review before suspension.

I brought my children up with a very simple regime: if you are naughty, if you scream at your mother (they NEVER did it to me) then you get punished. If you do it again you get a slap on one leg, etc., etc. Always followed by a cuddle to reinforce the message that when they are good they get a cuddle and we DID still love them.

While UK contributes with only just U$s 16.1 billions.

The statement that UK taxpayer money is used to help Argentina is a big lie.
In fact Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, China, India, Mexico, Chile, etc , taxpayers money is being used to save the mess in Europe to save British, German, French, etc banks to don’t go burst by the public debt crisis (PIIGS).
Because all are in the mess like UK, France, Germany, etc. that are really the big PIGS that will go belly up if the mess widespread across Europe.
So IMF is trying to save his own skin because if the court rules against Argentina again all restructuring debt in Europe will be jeopardise and banks will lose a lot of money.
That simple,
UK cannot help it self and less can help others as cannot afford to pay its own debt the U$s16 billion to IMF is not UK generosity. Otherwise is the Quota that they have to pay as Argentina and all members to be part of the IMF club to have influence in IMF.
That Quotas provide votes in IMF board and UK only represents only 4% power voting while Argentina close to 1%. So lets say that without 16% of Obama voting power nothing is done because Argentina just with Brazil, Venezuela, and Mexico for example invalidates UK power voting.
So if I would be Argentina I will pull out from IMF and convince all Latam and emerging countries to do so.
Then I will sit with a lot of pop corn in front of the telly to see how powerful UK go through the drains with it financial sector together with the rest of Europe. We need sanitation like happen in Latam after all were burst.

Fund holdings of currency: 28,429.80 million SDRs
Reserve position: 13,690.15 million SDRs
Down a bit is the United Kingdom.

And finally, argieland
Fund holdings of currency: 2,116.92 million SDRs

The United States has 421,961 votes. 16.75% of the total
The United Kingdom has 108,122 votes. 4.29% of the total

You can fix that by adding into a .htaccess directive to not allow dir exploration
MP again you have a security issue by allowing SSH service with root password and you have set port 22 as default port.

As I said, the more time passes the more the politics of the EU, USA, IMF, etc will care less about the argentine debt. They will want the issue to go away... that was Argentina's plan all along, drag it out and out and out until either the original bondholders were mostly dead, or people just simply forgot or wanted to move on.

I think Obama is the worst President since FDR. Hopefully the next one will be better but as long as the Senate switches over to Republican control in 2014 as it is expected to do I will be happy no matter who is Prez.
The sequestration is working and will work better in following years as the GDP grows and Fed gov''t spending is lowered. We are on a good and steady path and should be energy independent in a decade. Our next decade looks to be pretty promising. There are a lot of good things lining up to keep us as the richest most powerful country in the world for a very long time. I am happy to debate it anytime with you.

I moved back when my neighbors son lost a finger to kidnappers, neighbors had their cars boxed in on our street and many many commando assaults in the neighborhood.
