Great , well done the Brazilian youth . Go out , even in bad weather ,to hear the voice of reason and hope . Hope that we can have a better world , with less poverty and hunger .

@5 No. Neither reason nor hope. The “voice” of a beardy guy that lives on a cloud? Not really. Here's a thought. How long will this last after Frankie goes back to Rome? He's got it made. Trot out, gabble the usual tripe and then go away. Back to the billions in the Vatican vaults.

You could have less poverty and hunger if the catholic church was to distribute its wealth to those in need

6/ 7 I thought a reply was in order . Then I wondered why . When the mind us closed to reason or clear thinking why bother . Everybody had the right to their beliefs and so be it . Neither Conqueror tank or prime dynamite will change opinions . Rather like singing to a deaf child . Personally I am delighted that the visit is such a success and may the seeds of faith , hope and charity be sown .

Faith: belief without reason or evidence. Congratulations on furthering the backwards evolution of mankind. Next up: how global warming is just God hugging us tighter.

If you use reason and clear thinking then it would be obvious even to a catholic that this 'pie in the sky when you die' religion is nonsense.

I'm Irish and was bought up a good catholic but then I reached the age of reason and saw it for what it is. My Mother says I'll go to hell. I say how would I get in with all those religious fanatics in line in front of me
