Pope Francis urged young Catholics to shake up the church and make a “mess” in their dioceses by going out into the streets to spread the faith. It’s a message he put into practice on Thursday by visiting one of Rio’s most violent slums and opening the church’s World Youth Day on a rain-soaked Copacabana Beach. Read full article

So why do you live in the UK? Are you scared to go back to The Dark Country or do you live a better life where you are?

Don't bother answering, we all know the answer.

4 ChrisR “So why do you live in the UK?”

I can't answer that question but I can give you many reasons why I would never live there.

@5 Can you prove that statement? Because I want to find you and “separate” various body parts. I want to remove your balls. Both of them. And then slice them. I want to remove your dick. I want to remove your nose, your ears, your eyes and then your head. Slowly. So you can experience everything. But make no mistake. If you aren't in the UK, we are glad. Wouldn't want to let shit in. But you still need to let us know where you are. Because you have to be killed. Please accept this. You are a worthless piece of shit. You deserve to be eliminated.

@2 But Gandhi was stabbed to death by a Hindu Nationalist, a 'Camporista' of his time and place. There are many counterparts to that thug in Argentina.

Interesting speech . It is true that youth is more sensitive to social injustices . That nobody can remain immune to the irregularities of the world , so true . That leaders should work fir a more just world , so true again . Good that these obvious truths are repeated again and again ! What was also interesting was his call for the church to move out snd meet the people .

i see the pope is continuing his latam window shopping for young impoverished vulnerable males under the pretence of “spreading the faith” more like spread your legs and play “hide the rosemary anal beads”, yeah the world knows all about catholic interaction with youth, thank you very much.

at the end of the day, the pope has too much to say!

heres an idea how about the catholic church practices what it preaches....
don't hold your breath, the church just wants more sheep, just like a supermarket wants more customers, there is no difference.

Given the Church has been accused of not doing enough I appreciated particulary how Francisco called on the Priest to be more active inside their communities as moral autorities with the potential to make a difference. This need isn´t only true of Latam but much of the world, even ppl that don´t share the faith.

The catholic church could disband and run itself purely as a humanitarian charity rather than waving smoke around and claiming they care for the world while hiding sexual abuse and filling their buildings with gold. Whatever happened to “thou shalt not worship graven images”? Seems they missed out on that one.

Here's one for you: I worship Bob. Bob spoke to me in a dream and I've written down the stories he told me, detailing his vision for the world. I now worship Bob every day of the week, though I can't see him. Now: Disprove Bob without disproving God. Can't? No, because it's a load of pap.

    @15 Boovis:

Faith and hope aren't dependent on proving anything. It's all about what works for the individual. If worshiping Bob works for you then I certainly don't have a problem with it. It's neither my business nor my problem.

They say,,, when things go wrong , he gets the blame
When things go right, he has answered your wish,

    After all
Twas not long ago we were cutting people heads of for the sun god,
And guess what, he answered and the sun rose again next morning,

What strange humans we have turned out to be,
Nothing much changes then, ,,just the scenery..lolol.
