Colombian government and Marxist-inspired-drugs-funded FARC rebels resumed peace negotiations in Havana on Sunday after a recess of more than two weeks, during which 19 soldiers and a number of rebels were killed and rural protests left four farmers dead and several police injured.     One wishes negotiators all good luck . But it will be a long haul . Look at the Northern Island negotiations . Harold Wilson tried to broker a deal , as did Thatcher . In 1994 John Major nearly succeeded but a terrible attack lead to a deadlock . Eventually Blair did it in 1998 . Fortunately Santos is close to Blair so they may be in contact .
