Aug 07th, 2013 - 04:08 am - Link - Report abuse 0I don't recall Jesus Christ being a war-mongering, self agrandising, money grabing communist.
The Pope should immediately excommunicate Venezuelea until Maduro apologises for tainting Jesus' good name by comparing him to Chavez - the dictatorial gangster.
Time for a new inquisition me thinks.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 04:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0He wasn't the Messiah. He was just a very naughty boy.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 04:53 am - Link - Report abuse 0what a crock.......I suppose it serves a purpose in those there parts
Aug 07th, 2013 - 04:54 am - Link - Report abuse 0Man....for those staunch believers in faith and Christianity and SA has many, I don't think comparing chubby chavo to Christ is going to earn him points. The last I recall, Jesus brought the dead to life, not the other way around, not to mention he was poor and did not increase his wealth from his popularity.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 05:33 am - Link - Report abuse 0Madman Maduro (M&M)......what a desperate act for attention.
”Christ the Redeemer became flesh…in Hugo Chavez”, says President Maduro
Aug 07th, 2013 - 06:46 am - Link - Report abuse 0As he has now committed Blasphemy, By the word of the good book, all True Catholics should now take him out and stone him to death.
.... and I am the Prophet of the new Christ.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 06:46 am - Link - Report abuse 0I have seen the white light of God's heaven and God's angels in the form of birds that whisper in my ear the path of God and the New Christ ...
Each day your radio and television will reveal to you the words of the New God and His New Christ ...
My people, your mortal role is to give, not to receive - and in so doing your New Christ and His Prophet Maduro will show you the path to Heaven.
And this is just the FIVE MONTH anniversary! What's the bet that in seven month's time he petitions the Pope to declare Hugo a Saint.

Aug 07th, 2013 - 08:06 am - Link - Report abuse 0Nice one.
This president must be backwards or believes his people are backwards, his previous visions, the comparison with Jesus. Thank Christ he never said he was 'Elvis in the flesh' !
I think the bus driver misunderstood when Chav in the past turned up for meetings, on arrival others would say oh !! Jesus it's him again ......
Aug 07th, 2013 - 09:31 am - Link - Report abuse 0So is assassinating political opponents now a sacrament?

Aug 07th, 2013 - 12:43 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Even as an atheist I felt rage at this political move to entrap the stupid sods in Venezuela, and boy, have they got enough of them starting with the president of the bus drivers.
There is only one thing I can say: move along the bus please, ding, ding.
FFS!
I wonder that His Holiness thinks about this blasphemy uttered by a heretic!
Aug 07th, 2013 - 01:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The ignorance of Maduro only shows there´s never been any ideological ground for Chavismo, it´s pure populism and demagoguery that offends people´s intelligence, at its best.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 01:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Bloody idiot, first they elect dickhead then they elect a raving looney! This makes SA nations look more stupid. Papa will not be pleased. But must be nice... They gotta lotta ol....hi guys :-)
Aug 07th, 2013 - 02:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0He gets away with it because the unproductive dependents in the state will gladly accept handouts for doing nothing. There is an innate wickedness in such people.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 02:55 pm - Link - Report abuse 0That's a big claim. Even Papa Frank couldn't knock a bit of bread and fish to feed the deluded down Copacabana way.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 03:10 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Quite worrying these Latams.
Venezualas new state religion.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 03:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Born Again Chavism!
It demonstrated that Mr. Mas - Duro is not on his own......he is just a lunatic egotistical ignorant that make a mix with political ideas, religious faith and self adoration.....but, that is what a half of Venezuelans deserve, thought....
Aug 07th, 2013 - 04:00 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If each of the three sources mentioned are fanatical per se, the mix is the summun......so nothing good can be expected from leaders like this....
R.I.P. Venezuela
Maduro's unfounded and ridicules comments are out of real proportion.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 04:50 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Let us be realistics always. When Jesus died, there was no procession, there was no luxury coffin to speak of, there were no flowers neither a parade nor celebration as national holiday.
When Jesus was alive, (i) he lived in poverty and not in a palace, (ii) Jesus spread love to each other not hate, (iii) Jesus owned nothing as assests and dressed as poor person, and (iv) Jesus never used the people's money to the apostles as luxury on or for expensive parties.
After Jesus dead, which is over 2,000 years, not human being from earth had and never will posses the glorified qualities that Jesus had.
Maduro's statement is a pure indication about his lack of communication, his inability to reach out his own people, his absence of posture to be original leader.
Q.- Was Maduro serious when he made such comparison?
A.- Of course, he was not, just he had nothing to say.
Kirk Nelson,

Maduro´s is really getting desperate, but given he´s trying to keep a personalized goverment is understable. to keep a personalized goverment without the ppl or the person that hold it together before, is really dificult unless he or his team get to develop a political view of his own but under Chavista categories, which he´s clearly incapable of. If this keeps going he will be either replaced by one of his own group with more political skill or one from the opposition, be it Capriles or someone else, it´s really a matter of time. He knows too well Chavistas followed Chavez not him.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 06:37 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Yes....it's a very personalized government when you murder the opposition parties, suspend the media and arrest the owner and steal his bank accounts. Very personal indeed.
Aug 07th, 2013 - 09:43 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Why do we do this in LATAM?
Are you from Venezuela? if so, sorry I didn´t want to offend, my comment was more along the lines of Chavismo becoming the face of the goverment and how losing Chavez actually affected the stability of it, giving way to a possible change.
