Disclaimer & comment rulesOh dear Merkel, you give too much money to the Euro periphery and too much info to the Amerikans...better find your Teutonic testicles quick, there's an election coming up.
Aug 09th, 2013 - 09:30 am - Link - Report abuse 0'.. the BND has assured that no data transferred to the NSA contains information on German citizens ..'
Aug 09th, 2013 - 10:55 am - Link - Report abuse 0OK, the BND is strictly forbidden from monitoring the communications of German citizens by the G-10 law, but there is an absolute need to monitor for terrorist activity in Germany, as elsewhere.
The G-10 law is almost certainly over-ridden, whatever the public pronouncements say. Even in England, Cameron says the GNVQ collection and transfer of our information is entirely 'within the law'!
The Yemen is not the only place where terrorism plans are afoot - hence the 'evacuations'. Working with other nations is necessary to curtail *international* terrorism.
I don't like it - nobody likes it - but sharing this sort of info is necessary.
Industrial spying (etc) for commercial advantage is an entirely other matter.
Merkel was but never left the stasi,..do homework.

Good lord, a grown up and old man that still believes that's it's okay to monitor the people in the name of security from those terrorist, while ignoring the facts he can read in some mainstream news papers who are really creating and funding those so called terrorists (freedom fighters / rebels).
A quote for you Geofff: If you want total security, go to prison. The only thing lacking... is freedom.

Camoron is LAUGHING his ass off, while the dummies keep believing this nonsense without questioning..who's law????? unbelievable.
The BND is strictly forbidden from monitoring the communications of German citizens by the G-10 law, a regulation anchored in the country’s constitution that limits the powers of the intelligence agencies.
Aug 09th, 2013 - 12:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Oh! Good move Germany.....how to get around the law, let the US spy on German citizens instead, then purge your copy in case of any comebacks, knowing full well the Yanks will keep you up to date!
Who do you spy on in return.....the British! Then everyone is kept up to date!
Spies spies and more spies,
Aug 09th, 2013 - 02:40 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The fact is,
As long as you have insecurity,
In a world run by ambitious greedy powerful people and governments, you will always have spies,
Information has been sought, extracted , gathered , and stolen since the march of time,
And will continue to gather information until the end of the world,
But as long as they don’t follow you into the afterlife,
You have nothing to complain about,
Unless you don’t belive..lol.
Does Merkel know what undies I am wearing today?! LOL
Aug 10th, 2013 - 12:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I doubt it aussie, but she could easily find out the size of the last undies you bought.
