I can't help it if people set themselves up on a pedestal, try and make flippant remarks about education whilst making grammatical errors!
The net result.....is a toppling! :-))))))

Oh! Dear......you are all appear equally dim.
I'm sure you understand what you are trying to say, but WTF was that?
let me give you the options....
you all appear equally dim
you are all equally dim
you are all appearing equally dim
For goodness sake, the more you try, the worse it becomes.
What an idiot!
English is not your first language, I see!...;-)))))))
You know I was reading the comments in German, Italian, and French sites about the 'novel' Fifty Shades of Gray, and the vast majority of the commenters in all three languages were mentioning how poorly redacted, desultory, and barren it was.
As I have been saying for a long time here, 99% of English language books are utter garbage (just like their music), not because they are in English, but because the world was brainwashed to buy and listen to this music and books, which means they can just basically spit out whatever and people listen, thus allowing a vast majority of untalented, awful artists to gain fame, J.K. Rowling comes to mind as well (anyone heard of her books since Harry Potter, just an irrationaly over-publicized mediocre children's series, not bad, just not good).

You have got to be kidding me! Whilst I can agree that Fifty Shades is crap, on par with Jackie Collins...(I've heard) and J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter is a children's book....
I don't think the world is going to agree that classics such as.....
Oliver Twist
Great Expectations
Bleak house
Robinson Crusoe
Treasure Island
Wuthering Heights
Gulliver's Travels
Pride and Prejudice
Vanity Fair
Dracula
......to name but a few....can be described as Garbage!
.....and I don't mean the films, try reading the books!
I have read almost every English Literature 'Classic' there is, American, Russian and Irish Novelists..... Herman Melville, Mark Twain, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Oscar Wilde.
Anyone that considers themselves educated cannot describe these literary works as GARBAGE!
It is fine to be controversial for the sake of argument, but your statement above is utter shite!
'The quality of mercy is not strain'd,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest:
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.'
And that list is part of the 1% !!!!!! I never said there is NOTHING good in English literature, there is tons of great stuff and masterful writers. But Europe (in particular) is overflooded with ENGLISH AUTHORS and their books for the simple reason of marketing, and nothing to do with merit. Simple as that.
Thus, when one can so easily be marketed, it's like with any type of music or wine: when a wiene varietal or genre of pop music is in vogue, you get the first wave of trully great artists that were FOR YEARS working on their craft, and behind them legions of cheap imitators which eventually conspire to waterdown or even tarnish the brand of music or wine varietal.
That has happened with English language literature. Since basically anyone that is not illiterate gets published worldwide (the same does not happen with authors in any other language, they have to actually be GOOD), then the entire product is watered down. And I don't bother reading any english language books now that come from after circa 1960, because it is impossible to tell what is good or not.
Fifty Shades of Gray was marketed in the whole world as the next coming of Shakespeare (in his more lustful dramas), and turns out to be barely printable material.
21.Fifty Shades of Gray was marketed in the whole world as the next coming of Shakespeare
Funny in the USA it was marketed as a Women's beach/club book.
Your jealousy makes me smile.
You do know if you are isolated you won't get any English books so don't worry maybe your dream will come true and the only use for your English will be helping the tourists with their bags or checking in.
Or maybe you can get a job on Florida Ave American Change Money? American Change Money?”
