    Wow!

So Venezuela has had a coup.... hang on a minute the same government is still in power.... so it wasn't a coup?

So the extreme right plunged half the country into a blackout and they gained what exactly?

Hot on the heels of yet another assassination attempt on Maduro. He must be so powerful to be continually attacked..... who this time? An ex-president of Colombia?

    WTF!!

Does Maduro realise how stupid he is sounding? That is the problem when you are surrounded by sycophants blinded by ideology. They think the rest of the world is a stupid as they are.

“Maduro then Foreign minister of deceased president Hugo Chavez was caught on video trying to convince Paraguayan military commanders to take to the streets in support of Lugo. The Paraguayan Senate declared him ‘persona non grata’. ”

Seriously? I realise the value of governments using social media to connect with the masses but allowing the mentally challenged leaders access is surely detrimental. Can their advisors not prise their fingers off their phones and replace them with bright, shiny baubles?

Maduro is not only a nervous, blithering idiot, I am beginning to suspect he has all the paranoid attributes of someone who self-medicates.

It goes on and on...and of course the unqualified friends of the government running the electric company couldn't possibly be to blame.

@8 No, no, no. It's all those right-wing cables. It's right there in the article. “A senior Energy Ministry official said a fault occurred in one of the national grid's major transmission lines, which caused power cuts in the west and centre of the country.” See! It's the cables. No, wait a minute, I've got it. It's the conductors. The conductors are out to get the bus driver!

It must be a laugh a minute on the funny farm knowns as Venezuela!

First they had Chavez aka The Redeemer but he croaked and has never been seen since.

Now they have managed to top that with the Bus Driver who sees “hazards” at every turn, perhaps he should look in his mirror to see the real hazard to the country.

The defect will of course be down to the maginificent army “engineers” who Chubby appointed to run everything not checking the hot points on the main transmission line.

That is of course if they understand what a hot point is nevermind how to improve the system locally to eliminate the problem once and for all.

Still, without the Bus Driver and TMBOA what would we do for laughs?

Maduro's obviously been borrowing a few pills from Turkeyneck's “pick n mix” medication collection.

NEWSFLASH: Maduro has ordered the Venezuelan Armed Forces to wring the necks of all their carrier pigeons, in case they stage a coo.

Proof the lights went out, see the link from Clarin! But can you believe the 'photos: it is the dastardly Clarin after all.

On P1 or 2 there are photos of TMBOA leaving T.01 at St. Petersburg. The leak must have been a blind for Singer.

The First finger represents the direction of the magnetic Field
The Second finger represents the direction of the Current
The Thumb represents the direction of the resultant Motion of the conductor.
... not to be confused with Fleming's other hand, which is unacceptibly Right.

So remember - always check the Thumb - it's the clue to where the Conductor's Motions come from.

@17 BWAHHHH! And.. as my high school physics AND 2nd grade english teachers chided us.. “every time you point a finger at someone there are three fingers pointing right back at you!” On the RHR thing, my wife has noticed a trend in lamers coping it kewl being photographed at events (e.g., red carpets) using the RHR to give the world the bird (boy, I hope that translates across international borders :-). I think there was even one of CFK doing it on these very pages (I'd need to go through all the stories to find it now, I'm kicking myself for not pointing it out earlier).

    Dear me, 51 years ago!

I don't think I have ever used it, even when designing small capacity single phase motors!

How did you ever come up with that? :o)

I think it is funny that this article got only 20 post. Seems Maduro has drove Venezuela into the land of forgotten countries. Bus Driver in action.
