Check the link to the following, a really long, weird statement, too long to fully paste...
'Quebracho: repudiation of Princess Anne at the Teatro Colón ~ ...Come pirate princess Anne of England, sister of Charles, daughter of Elizabeth II, the Queen, who ordered the attack on Falklands in 1982. Come to “honor” a ceremony at the Teatro Colon. Some celebrate their arrival. Comes, and believes that you can walk through Argentina as usual. Pirate Princess. But it comes and you have to go hiding. Because he knows that this is repudiated. One walk around the city, and we will be there, and will get into the Colon, and hence the wait. because some Argentines are not going to let strutting like nothing. We will receive with dignity, with memory, with patriotic attitude. To remind her and hers, that here not welcome, that Argentines repudiate it here, despite the honors and pleitesías that give you from the class dirigencial, the sepoys as Macri, or much of journalism. Here are Argentines who do not forget. Because the Malvinas are Argentine and British have to go. No way around it...'

Complete bonkers. To be fair, I think most decent Rgs see these people as a national embarrassment as well - one more to add.

All part of the country's sad dysfunctional history and heritage. The 'Malvinas' adventure was a chance to grasp some 'glory and honour' for the Fatherland and look like a serious nation, alas it just made them into an even bigger laughing stock. This shame is going to last a long time.

I absolutely agree this is a minority of half-wits, no wait, that would suggest they had half a wit, let's call them idiots, embarrassing the good people of Argentina. However, unless CFK condemns their actions it will appear to the wider world that they represent all Argentines.

It is telling how infantile they are by writing about fictional pirates and how 'England' started the Falklands War. How easy it is to fool terminally stupid people.

In 1974 a mentally deranged man attempted to kidnap Anne, stopping her car, shooting and wounding four people in the process.

There is only one thing to call these “Quebracho” tossers. But let's take a closer look. “Quebracho” is a common Spanish name for a hard wood tree species. Blockheads, then. And cowards. Why else be masked? I can sort of understand the “Elizabeth II who ordered the attack on our Malvinas Islands in 1982” Typical argie propaganda. Never mind the argie invasion of British territory. Further back, 1833 no doubt saw the British “invasion” of the Islands. Except that argieland never had any “claim” or “right”. A “state” cannot make a “claim” or establish a “right” through the actions of pirates such as Jewett and Vernet. Jewett was, of course, just stupid. Vernet was treacherous as well. So Britain just re-established its legal title. But then, the “recovery” of the Falkland Islands from the cowardly argie toe-rags was ordered by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Possibly comparable to Winston Churchill! Quebracho is therefore identified as uneducated, stupid, cowardly tossers. The SAS should have been there. To shoot!

“Before that they ransacked and set fire offices in downtown Buenos Aires which sold cruise packages supposedly involving UK or BOT flagged vessels ”

“In a release Quebracho threatened to break into the Opera House”

Very peaceful indeed.....a very obscure ideal of peaceful. But then again this is a country that protests by starting fires in the streets and preventing commerce from taking place and everyday activities.....all because of a “peaceful assembly”. What is a non peaceful assembly.......1982 invasion of the Falklands were Britain had to physically kick your limp dicks out of the islands?

Peaceful assembly includes the rights of civil disobedience and disrupting commernce and the free flow of others.

You would not understand the concept since you live in a police state where you have no rights to protests, only the right to be immediately arrested and be physically battered by half a dozen “police officers” (after they disable you with painful pepper spray and shock you electrically).

I never asked you to understand freedom since Americans don't have it.

Peaceful assembly? Look at them TTPT, read their statement, were you also cheering on Hitlers brown shirts when they “peacefully assembled”. Argentina does not know the meaning of peaceful assembly, it is either a government sponsored attempt to intimidate their critics or opponents or the police/government agents get involved to create a riot.

Yes peaceful assembly includes the rights to disrupt trade and damage public property. It is an essential tool otherwise governments don't listen.

Which is why your governments just go to war when they please, take away your rights at their will, and call you things like 'muppets' and ”fuckfaces', while bailing out with your money their fellow politicians or CEO-buddies.

Nostrils has to be in high school. It is impossible to be that stupid and in university, no matter how low they set the entrance requirements.

And I don't care how his immature intellect and juvenile rantings try to twist it, Argentina ranks nowhere near as free and democratic as my country. Christ, we just had an election without any soldiers or police needed and where the biggest protest involved some chanting or graffiti and the most violent act was someone removed by security for trying to photobomb our new Prime Minister's family photo shot.

You will have to wait for some time to see any nation repeat the achievements of Britain, that's for sure.

That's because 98% of what Britain “achieved” cannot be actually recreated, as the geo-political/military maneuvers and subterfuge necessary to bring those achievements to fruition have been formally banned by multiple international treaties, due to the fact that civilization today views those actions as barbaric, bloodthirsty, inhumane, racist, depredatory, benighted, misanthropic, miopic, avaricious, despotic, jingoistic, narcissistic, violent, unlawful, and abominable behavior.

If I were British I would think about your warped mentality for a second.

If what your nation created was so great, why are the means to re-created now formally prohibited and proscribed, under threat of force?

    Food for thought :)

We're all still here and businessmen and women are visiting us in ever-increasing numbers. Nothing has changed on the Malvinista front; Argentina is as close to getting their hands on the islands now as they were on the 14th of June 1982.

It must be 3 months since I've heard anyone here even mention Mercopress and the last time I heard CFK mentioned was in the Legislative Assembly motions for adjournment a few weeks ago when one of the MLAs thanks her for inadvertently giving us such a helping hand last year.

    132 TIT

because that has absolutely nothing to do with the South Atlantic or South America.

Good you brought it up - the article deals with guidelines to peaceful legitimate 'protest' as opposed to 'confrontation' and police response to violent actions.

“”We continue to ask protesters to contact us and work with us. What we will continue to do is uphold people's right to protest peacefully, whilst balancing the rights of others to go about their daily business, plus uphold our duty to prevent crime and disorder.
“There is information to suggest that there will be further protests in London today. As yet no one has chosen to work with us.”
Ed Argar, from Westminster City Council, said protesters did not have a licence to cause disruption.
He said: “Yesterday's events demonstrate that, as ever, there were a small number of people intent on turning a legitimate protest into confrontation.
”I hope any further protests around G8 pass off peacefully. We fully support the right to legitimate protest, but that is not a licence to disrupt the daily lives of residents, visitors and businesses or the right to break the law.“

Please note too, that disguises and masks would be unnecessary in a 'peaceful protest' but it is against the law to cause deliberate property damage and it will not be tolerated. Attempts to hide one's identity in order to perform illegal acts, is against the law.

”Powers to stop and search in anticipation of violence and to require the removal of disguises have been authorised.“

Quite contrary to TIT's belief that lawless thugs, er ” protesters” in Argentina should be able to commit crimes of property and violence legally.

Exactly what “race” are the Irish ? Considering that the country was invaded and settled by Vikings, Normans, English and probably others if we go far enough back Dublin was a Viking settlement with a large slave trade so other ethnic peoples were scattered in the population.

By “paddys”, do you include the Scotch Irish, in what is now N.Ireland, who left in droves to America in the 17th/18th centuries before the bulk of the Catholic Irish in the 19th/20th century.
Other figures I have seen put the population of Scottish descent in the USA at 20 million. It all depends on the nationality of the parental line. If a German immigrant marries an Irish woman, are their children of German or Irish descent? It depends on the line you take.
    Either could be valid.

I think we can include the Irish, although it is not “politically correct” to say so now, the Irish were an integral part of the British Empire providing a proportionally high share of military personnel in the empire troops and Navy. Even after separation large numbers of Irish left their homeland in the Second World War to join the British armed forces despite the fact they knew they might face discrimination from the republican bigots and Nazi sympathisers when they returned home.

Oh how little you know of the world, you think that the US is a free society compared to the likes of Europe? What a fool. You have more lrestrictive laws then any other country on Earth. Are you aware that with his war powers, Obama can order the arrest without trial of any American? And can have them murdered without trial on a whim if they are suspected of “Terrorism”? What kind of a society is it were a head of state can order the deaths of his own citizens?

“We have a constitution but you do not. We do not have a parliamentary democracy”
First off, you didn't invent modern Republican democracy, Rome and later the Republics of Genoa, Venice, United Provinces etc pioneered the early concepts that the Founding Fathers ripped off. The French Revolution was 10x more radical than the American one, why? Because it demanded total freedom of men, unlike the US constitution which is heavily pro-slavery and the white ascendancy.

Modern Democracy was primarily invented in Britain not the America Habeas Corpus, Bill of Rights, Magna Carta, Due Process, etc, etc, were pioneered in Britain. These ideas are the primary basis of the US constitution.

Also having a constitution is in no means democratic or good, if anything its stupid as you have your right wing gun nuts cling to an outdated second amendment that has resulted in the worst shooting sprees on earth. Sandy Hook ring any bells?

Press Freedom? The UK has one of the highest press freedoms on earth, higher than the US's.

    “We invented the free press.”
Ha ha ha! I think Britain, Denmark, Poland and Sweden (The worlds FIRST countries to implement true Press Freedom) would disagree.

“We invented the anglosphere for our use.”
The clues in the title as to were that originates you tit. You originate from us not the other way around.

These false statements and blatant lies are the reason why your country is the most hated on earth, and you embarrass the the majority of Americans who are decent and fair people.

I was waiting for that one. That's why I put Scotch instead of Scots.
I thought I would give you something to massage your ego as you seem to take pleasure in these little insignificant items.

Scotch-Irish (or Scots-Irish) Americans are the descendants of Presbyterian and other Protestant dissenters from the Irish province of Ulster who migrated to North America during the 18th and 19th centuries However Americans, (INCORRECTLY) use the word Scotch instead of Scots.

Scotch mainly refers to whisky....NOT whiskey..which is Irish.
The word also means to hinder and is also used for a wedge to stop casks from rolling.

“Islam in Argentina is represented by one of Latin America's largest Muslim minorities.”

It is about 1% of the population in Argentina as opposed to the 3% represented in the UK.

The mosque opposite the Jumbo in BsAs city centre is huge and was built by Argentine muslims. TTT wouldn't know that because he has said on here that he has no knowledge of Buenos Aires. I used to live in an apartment close to the mosque.

There is also a significant Jewish population, one of the largest outside of Israel. But overwhelmingly the country is still Catholic. The churches are full on Sundays and every Argentine I know refers to themselves as Catholic even if they do not adhere closely to the religion. However, TTT has a point. They all became suddenly more devout when the Pope was elected. Remember the crowds and the fuss they made? One could hardly say religion in not important in Argentina when they choose it to be.

That the churchs are full on sundays in Arg.......there are many people in Arg that never goes to church, but you cant see it to take that into account.

@187 Ah, you are missing the point of my post. No worries. To respond to your post...

Of course I am not suggesting all Argentines go to church but if you live in the UK and travel to Argentina, the full churches are remarkable. I live in a plural, to all intents a post religious society, so it is remarkable. It is also worth mentioning that almost every single Argentine I talked to said they were Catholic whether they attended church or not.

Certainly there are a lot of Catholic churches and cathedrals in Spain and Italy, they are still predominately Catholic countries. I can also add I have visited more religious houses in Latin America and the Catholic countries of Europe than I have ever visited in the UK. They are such a central part every town and city I visit and very much a part of the community.

But none of that is relevant to the point I was making in my earlier post.

So keep away from us Brits, we don’t want to catch anything off you or have anything to do with you: why don’t you go back to Sweden, you swede? Or won’t they have you there either?

188 arg is country absolutelly free in religious themes.
And everyone can express its religiousity, going to church, not going to church, going to mosque, or to templo, the way they like.
    WHats the point??

@192 I agree, that was not the point I was making.Argentina is overwhelmingly Catholic, estimates range from 70% - 90% of the population and 1/4 of the population goes to church regularly. That is high. It also has the one of the largest Muslim and Jewish populations in Latin America. None of my comments were negative, just fact. I was originally responding to these comments,

“In Argentina people are not religious, in fact it took electing a pope to “temporarily” stanch the bleeding. ”

“ALMOST NO Argentines convert to Islam.”

“Buenos Aires is NOT a christian city, London IS.”

You can guess who made them.

In Arg: 88% catholics bautizados, 78% catholics adeptos, and that go to church 23 %.
    Musulmanes between 500.000 to 700.000, 1 %
    Jews 300.000 to 400.000.
Musulmanes in Latin america: Guyana 9%, Arg 1 %.
And look: UK 2,8 %, EU 3,12%, USA 1,5%. (% in relation to each countries population, that are very variable)
    According to wikileaks.

@194 Thank you for giving the statistics to underline the point I was making. I am glad we agree.

The “ ” statements were made by TTT, who claims to be an Argentine but knows nothing about Argentina. You have just helped to prove him wrong again.

Something I liked about Argentina when I was living there was the general tolerance of different religions and the gay community. It is rare in Latin America.

You seem to be wanting to fight with me when we are, in fact, agreeing.

I'm not quite sure why you are mentioning Williamsport, the Lycoming Mall is at Muncy and like most Malls, it is in the middle of nowhere and like most US Malls it has the usual JC Penney...Walmart close by ..Lowes for Diy etc.
My place is 15 minutes in the mountains off the US15....beautiful scenery next to the State Game lands hunting, fishing, ski trails etc.
.....and this is not mummy's Upstate vacation home...it is mine and it is not Upstate it is in another continent from where I reside!
....and I dare say mummy only lets you drop by to do a bit of waitering on the side... your Summer job at the local town waiting on tables....that's why you don't see latin's as that's your job along with the pool cleaning!
Pray do tell me what a latin looks like as I have already given a description of what I look like many moons ago...
Actually don't bother....I could care less...your purpose is for me to ridicule and no more!

Muncy looks fabulous. I was surprised that you can still buy 5 bedroom houses for under 250K! That's just over 3 parking garage spaces where I live.
    Maybe I should move.

Notice how A_Voice of Think loves the attention he gets from this?

I really don't know if it is 'for us' or whether, like “Sussie”, he thinks he is showing off to LATAM 'types', trying to convince and impress them that 'he made it' and is living the good life in “America”.

A bit inconsistent to say the least, that he rattled on with his disdain of USA “Americans” ( well, ANY Americans, now that I think about it) and yet he have us think he is quite chuffed with himself having a place there.

It seems that he believes it will annoy us, while at the same time, it seems to be the ultimate trump card in the SA “one-upmanship game”.

I don't know why you guys waste you time with someone that needs the vision of owning property in the USA. If one needs that diversion.......I say give way and allow him free passage. The reality doesn't change. With all the information about the USA on the internet, it's makes living that dream a virtual reality.

I do say that I always look forward to his insults...they are a chuckle. I always take comfort in knowing that one resorts to insults when they lose control. It does not matter how witty or ridiculous the insult is......an insult is an insult regardless how one dresses it.

This thread is hilarious, yet again Twink and A-hole show their utter utter cretinous shite.

Firstly, A-Hole, the reason why Mohammed and it various derivatives is one of the most common boys names is because a large percentage of muslim boys are given the name.

Given names for non-Muslims in the UK are far more diverse, so the fact Mohammed is more common than say James or John doesn't show anything about the Muslim make-up of the UK, just that they have less diversity in their choice of names.

Of course even with your level of retardation you are aware of this, but chose to talk absolute shit.

The “ethnic” make up of the US is as irrelevant as who is ethnically Scottish, English, Welsh...because outside of Argentina what is important is self-determination.

Which side your ancestors fought in the battle of Bannockburn or Hastings might be interesting but is wholly irrelevant, in fact the vast majority would have ancestors on both sides.

You image of pure blood ancestory seems to either stem from Mein Kampf or Harry Potter, making your views either fascist or fairy stories...probably a bit of both.

I'm pretty sure that it is the British politicians and civil servants that see the creation of South Atlantic ecological conservation zones as serving a dual purpose. And who can blame them in the light of decades of bellicosity. But it DOES protect the flora , fauna and land/sea(bed)scapes.

The British interest in the ecology of the region significantly pre-dates Southern Cone ecological research in the region. And it is true that sealing and whaling pre-dated even that - the early research was to determine sustainability of stocks and to understand 'food-chains'.

'Operation Tabarin was a small British expedition in 1943 to establish permanently occupied bases in the Antarctic. It was a joint undertaking by the Admiralty and the Colonial Office. At the end of the war it was renamed the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) and full control passed to the Colonial Office. At this time there were four stations, three occupied and one unoccupied. By the time FIDS was renamed British Antarctic Survey in 1962, 19 stations and three refuges had been established.' Wiki.
My first postgrad. job offer was from the British Antarctic Survey: 1971; so long ago!

Apart from being off-topic, Chagos are a good example of your flawed argument.

The ecology of the Chagos would not support human life without water from an outside supplier.

For that reason, there was NO indigenous population to the islands.

Inhabitants were “implanted” as you like to say, and the “ecology” itself would not permit them to stay when Britain left.

    @220 silly Marcos
“ to make the Chagos archipelago a “Marine Protected Area” is for nothing more to prolong the banning of the population of returning home. ”

    Didn't you just say,
“English new form of colonization through “ecology”???

    Which is it, Marcos??

The British are preventing colonisation or ”colonising” through ecology???

Only by changing the ecology could the islands be colonised.
