Mercosur is no good for a country that is democratic. Venezuela was admitted thru an illegal manouver from Brazil and Argentina. Paraguay was given the chance to distance itself from the populist governments of these countries and its people will only benefit by following the development path that Chile took in the past. Paraguay can find better friends in the region!

Gonzo22 you are WRONG. Look at any other website reporting on the same issue...from Argentinean,Venezuelan, or Chinese based news outlets all say the same things: Paraguay does NOT recognize Venezuela as a member of MERCOSUR.
