China has become Uruguay’s main market for beef taking 25% of exports

China in just a year has become Uruguay’s main client for beef absorbing 25% of exports equivalent to 190 million dollars in the last agriculture year (July 2012/June 2013). Uruguay exports totalled 390.000 tons according to the latest release from the country’s Meats Institute, INAC. Read full article

    Great news. Congrats are in order to INAC. That we can compete on price and quality with Australia and NZ who are much closer to the Asain markets is owing to the fact that Uruguayan figures and stats are TRUSTED in world markets
    Not only are all 12 million head of cattle electronically tagged at birth, the only country in the world to do so, but also all producers have to present a register all vetinary products they use with dates and quantities

    #1 I wonder how long before the Amazon trees will be in museums and only pictures will exist of it's former image? China has such a wonderful environmental track record. One can be jailed when talking about air quality in China.
