A majority of Uruguayans have little or no interest in politics according and most of them are young people, poorly educated and those who consider themselves as ‘centre or centre right’, according to the results of a public opinion poll released on Thursday. Read full article

    The problem with not being interested in politics is that politicians are still interested in you and what they can take from you, like wolves are interested in sheep.

    If Uruguay wishes to be free and prosperous, the bulk of the population needs to be interested enough in politics to take steps to remove the worst politicians and to get rid of too much government, the same problem any democracy faces.
