South American foreign ministers are scheduled to meet next Friday in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to decide the name of the next Unasur secretary general, according to an official release from the main office in Quito. Read full article

I would certainly advocate an 'anybody but Venezuela' approach.

... and can anybody truly speak for such a rag-bag of agendas that constitute Unasur.

Unasur has the same sort of credence as the UN Committee on Decolonisation, both talking shops with no importance. Jobs for the boys!
