Good for the FALKLANDS, better the devil you know, than the devil you don't know. Get well soon CFK you are doing an excellent job as regards the FALKLANDS.
Oct 10th, 2013 - 08:06 am - Link - Report abuse 0I think this is all electioneering.
Oct 10th, 2013 - 11:53 am - Link - Report abuse 0Although they are not voting directly for CFK, they are trying to create sympathy and a sympathy vote.
So the team is solid, or did they mean thick?
Oct 10th, 2013 - 12:17 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Are the buffoon Timmerman and his organ grinder Urribarri part of this so called team?
As NOT reported in MP, Timmerman issued what amounts to a PUBLIC ultimatum yesterday to Uruguay
This of course is totally contrary to normal international diplomatic practices, but seems to be par for the course for this Argentine government
She is an old lady, mentally unstable at the best of times, just had BRAIN SURGERY with heavy anesthesia and they're following her instructions?

following her instructions = reassuring =)
Oct 10th, 2013 - 12:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Dame Bramage jokes aside that's about as reassuring as Al Haig saying I'm in control at the White House
Oct 10th, 2013 - 12:39 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Heavens forbid they should think for themselves.
Oct 10th, 2013 - 12:44 pm - Link - Report abuse 0To paraphrase Lady Macbeth, perhaps CFK is regretting her actions re Boudou

Oct 10th, 2013 - 01:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 0A president of Argentina was visiting an Air force base in Santa Cruz and noticed a wrecked fighter plane and exclaimed
Is this a Dagger that I see before me
Again apologies to Shakespeare and Lady MacBeth
I keep laughing at something Chris said, I wonder if they'll put the clot on display in a church somewhere?
Oct 10th, 2013 - 01:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#12. No, Timerman is presently elsewhere...
Oct 10th, 2013 - 02:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Zanini for me. I love that you can still find, in Argentina, people who think that Maoist social and economic policy is or was ever viable. He would probably start with a good old purge followed by some cutting of grass and killing of birds. Counter-revolutionary bastards that they are...
Oct 10th, 2013 - 02:44 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The team has never been solid with or without the hag.

Oct 10th, 2013 - 03:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@4 It is important to note, from the language used, that Tinboy knows that argieland is on the back foot and on a sticky wicket. He used asked and request. What happened to demand? Keep going, Uruguay. Ignore wimp Mujica.
Oct 10th, 2013 - 04:48 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@6 Yep, I can just imagine. Cut all wages by 50%. Demand U.S. supplies us with dollars. Drill a well under the Casa Rosada. There has to be oil somewhere. Do we have enough toilet paper? Issue more bonds. Tell the U.S. Supreme Court to get stuffed. Start another war. There, follow those instructions, halfwit!
@16 Solid between the ears!
Im surprised there is not a conspiracy to oust her and for one of them to grab power...
Oct 10th, 2013 - 06:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You are wasting your time. Argentina will do what you want, at the time she wants, because she is sovereign and always will be.
Oct 10th, 2013 - 06:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Long Live Argentina!

Oct 10th, 2013 - 06:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I got that one... : )
But, but, where is Maximo, he of cream bun and coke (as in cocaine) fame, or heroin instead of coke if he wants.
Oct 10th, 2013 - 09:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I thought NOTHING happened without the great mans blessing?
Yup, Argentina is run by her Presidenta.

@ 12 Timerman now says his speech wasnt an ultimatum to Uruguay at all, in spite of it being televised. He of course blames someone else - i.e.the press -for misinterpreting his words and in particular , yes you guessed it, CLARIN
Solid as in dense or thick.

Oct 11th, 2013 - 09:01 am - Link - Report abuse 0About time the deadbeats paid up. However I do not see the USA relinquishing their denials to release funds anytime soon.
@27 Seriously? LOL! How many grandchildren does she have? I thought is was one baby. Now, many would say that maybe she should not wear Louboutins whilst playing with the baby or that bending over to do a little light tidying was such an alien concept for her that the effort caused her to keel over. Personally I think it sounds like spin. CFK is on a lot of medication and her low blood pressure has her falling over at regular intervals.
Oct 11th, 2013 - 09:32 am - Link - Report abuse 0@20 Oh dear. http://en.mercopress.com/2013/10/11/argentina-prepared-to-comply-with-world-bank-arbitration-and-pay-corporations-with-bonds
Oct 11th, 2013 - 12:05 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Argieland is prepared to do what it's told to do. Mind you, I wouldn't accept an argie sovereign bond. More defaults on the way. Hey, perhaps Singer could buy them. And hit argieland again. Incidentally, for anyone involved in this, argie sovereign bonds issued under argie law are worth nothing, nil, zero. P.S. Argieland is a corpse on life support.
@23 But she's non compos mentis. Explains a lot!
@27 Yup. She'll steal and try to sell anything!

@ 23 Stevie
Oct 11th, 2013 - 03:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You mean just like Uruguay is run by a Presidenta (and I do know what the spelling infers).
You mean la Tronca? Nah...

The playswing he bought for his kid took half the ceiling out when he attempted to use it to lower himself to the ground-and the swing has steel cables.
So he got mama to pick up the toys as the crane he ordered didn't arrive in time.
