Brazil said on Thursday it will start work early next year on a new Antarctic base to replace the one gutted by a 2012 fire. @1 Brazil has no space in Antarctica. King George Island is part of the British Antarctic Territory. Just bear some things in mind. Britain is permitting Brazil to build a base in accordance with the spirit of the Antarctic Treaty. The base is subject to inspection. Since argies go there, it is designated as a potential bomb and missile range.
