Both leading presidential candidates in crime-wracked Honduras declared victory late Sunday, setting the stage for a possible round of street protests and violence in one the world's deadliest countries. With more than half the votes counted, conservative Juan Orlando Hernandez was ahead with 34% against 29% for populist Xiomara Castro. Read full article

    My last experience in Honduras: I didn't get 2 km drive into the country without a cop pulling me over and wanting a bribe. He was trying to cite me for not having reflectorized triangles in my pick up.
    Hondura's does not have much going for it unfortunately, so is always likely to be a failed state.
