A truck with fourteen cameras with a 360 degree angle and a range of eight kilometers plus a fourfold increase in police numbers has been displayed along Rio do Janeiro most iconic beaches following an outbreak of 'arrastraos' or dragnets in which tens of teenagers stampede on to beachgoers to steal whatever they can get hold off. Nov 29th, 2013 - 10:39 am - Link - Report abuse 0WTF does that mean?
3rd worlders have no idea how to run their countries. The are like crabs in a pot always getting pulled down just when they may reach the top.

Nov 29th, 2013 - 11:07 am - Link - Report abuse 0Who wants to go to Brazil for the World Cup? Your basic holiday kit should include combat armour and helmets, combat knives, bayonets, automatic assault rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers and a couple of 9mm pistols. Around 50,000 rounds of ammunition would be about right. Don't think twice. If a Brazilian looks your way, shoot! Alternatively, stay home and watch it on tv. Laugh at 3/4 empty stadiums. And bring the England team back home!

Nov 29th, 2013 - 02:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Did they fixed the cracked stadium yet? It's too dangerous to go to Brazil now. Wait until after the elections maybe they'll get rid of the Marxists and have law and order again.
Nov 29th, 2013 - 03:08 pm - Link - Report abuse 0England had its own arrastraos gangs in the 1960s.
Nov 29th, 2013 - 04:16 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The Brighton Beach 'mods' v 'rockers' anarchic massed promenade contratemps involved the British 'bobbies' bringing order back to the land of the holiday-makers, deckchairs, pier, pebbles and grey water.
But this merely put 'flesh on the bones' of the novel penned so evocatively by Graham Greene in Brighton Rock (1934).
Pinkie Brown would have fitted in well with the favelistas on Rio's Copacabana.
[PS: I was a 60s 'Mod' - at Box Hill, but not Brighton. Nice and super-smart, not naughty; with more scooter mirrors than you could shake a stick at!]
where's tobi....errrr....I mean brasiliero with some unclever utube vid?

Nov 29th, 2013 - 08:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Hi Dog! Got rid of you (one) Bitcoin yet, I hear some twats are paying U$D 6,000 for them?
Not for long though once they are fleeced it will crash again, just like before.
If you are going to the WC (I DO like that shortened version) I bet you are taking all the grass you can manage from Holland just to pay your way. Bet you are dossing down at your “mates” favela and don’t forget the crash helmet in case the roof collapses. But with your bonehead it might be money wasted.
I will look out for you on the police parades for losing your temper and slapping a girl.
Ha, ha, the thought of YOU at the WC! PMSL.
They should just sell tickets to go hunting in the Favellas.
