Argentina??
As our Mendoza troll continually reminds us his country has zero interest in foreign trade so why are they in this organisation?
Perhaps Switzerland, Lichtenstein, and Luxembourg would be more worthy candidates.
Oh, I forgot Snotty doesn't like Europeans, so perhaps Nepal and Bhutan would be more to his liking.
A thought. If no external trade how is RA going to export all that soya to China, most of which is turned into animal feed for the pork industry.
Maybe he believes in the old adage of pigs might fly?
It would certainly be consistent with his crazy fantasies.
Clyde you are of course right!
Lets look at them all
Cochrane a Scot from your partof the world and founder of the Chilean Navy
O´Higgins , another Irishman from Ballina and liberator of Chile
Admiral William Brown from Foxford , Co Mayo
Patrick Campbell from Tipperary but also a left behind sergeant of a Highland regiment and founder of the Uruguayan navy
Elizabeth Lynch from Co Cork who had great influence in early Paraguayan politics
Strange that there isnt an English name among the lot of them, isnt it?
Yes Frank I had forgotten about him. Even though he was a Scot, he was born in Dundee, not Falkirk
I seem to recall one of the Argentine warships engaged in the 1982 Falklands invasion was named after him, probably lang syne gone bottom up I an RG naval dockyard .
All these folk were officers on half pay after the Napoleonic Wars and hired themselves out to the highest bidder for their services .
Cochrane is renowned as the founder of three navies, the Chilean, the Brazilian and the Greek navy
ARA Drummond is still out there .....or at least she was a few years ago.... one of their 'Falkland's Blockade' ships....
Ah yes Dundee... I'm the Frank Drummond xxxxxx from Falkirk :)

Argentina is a great maritime nation as most of their great naval heros came from Europe; who can fail to admire their great ships like the Libertard?
