Venezuela's violent crime unstoppable: former beauty queen and husband shot dead
Gunmen shot dead a former Miss Venezuela and her ex-husband in the South American nation, authorities said today. Monica Spear, 29, a soap opera actress, and Henry Berry, 39, died in an attempted robbery on the highway between Puerto Cabello and Valencia in central Venezuela. Read full article

My sympathy to the families and no support to those who are clearly incapable of running this country such as Maduro and Chavez before him. All those years in power were well enough for him to fix the nation's problems and he acheived what, exactly?

A senseless tragedy. It just shows that no matter who you are....no one is immune to crime. Ironic that she is murdered visiting her homeland while visiting the evil empire....as the trolls say.

Right on Anglotino....with 2/3 of the the Caracas population living in slums - not much different to the rest of the wonderful “Republica Bolivariana”, what d'you expect ? It's no wonder that since the arrival of s**t hole Chavez, the Venezuelans that can, have and are still moving their homes and businesses to Panama City and to Miami.....

“Retribution killing”? No mention of that in two other articles. Could be a targeted hit, on the other hsnd, this aspect of the story emerges at the same time that Maduros “damage control” press releases are made.
Damned awful, as is the larger homicide epidemic there. (I recall that another Ms Venezuela caused a brouhaha when she waved the pre-chavezized flag [because it always all had to be about him] at a pageant. Glamour Oblige.)
