Nothing serves to vindicate Snowdon's actions more than the actions of the administration and US government.

Very good, Obama. Tell a few dozen people, who rarely say anything of importance anyway, that you'll quit monitoring how often they phone the sex lines. Privacy for the rent boys. Female “leaders” can be assured that they'll no longer have to worry about ordering their male secretaries to “come in”. Apparently, Dilma was very concerned. Maybe her male secretaries were being asked to “come in” every 30 minutes? Anybody noticed that there are only two female members of the argie “cabinet”. All those individual “meetings” CFK HAS to have. Kiciloff recently had a 2-hour meeting. He must be a big boy. Or insensitive.

I do not trust this guy. Indeed, it is hard to trust anyone who has English as their first language.

What Obama actually said was that the US wouldn't listen in to law abiding people. So anyone indulging in nefarious activity is fair game. Bad news for a lot of South American governments, Malvinistas and government sponsored thugs.

#5 Hohoho, we don't trust Manuel either and that includes the ones not from Barcelona

Does that mean US will spy on you as soon you get a criminal record, or is it just bollocks?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the bulk of the spying occur in Europe and on ordinary people?

Is there not a reciprocal agreement that they will not spy on their own people?
I guess that is done on their behalf by the other party.

What this really means is the NSA will be REALLY careful that nobody else is able to “come up with the goods on them” as our friends the Yanks say.

Mind you, with Obuma as a friend WTF needs enemies?

    We think,
What he is really really trying to do,
Is convince us all that they will no longer spy on you illegally,

To gain popularity one must convince the masses that the minority it behaving its self,

Apparently GCHQ has stated that it does everything within the law.
We must convince our friends and allies that we are the good guys,
Trust us, would we lie to you,

Well Mr President, you are trying to do a very hard job,
You will not please everybody all of the time,
And some will not trust you, but try you must,

    On a personal note,
The day, humans stop spying on each other,
Will almost certainly be the day=the last humans turns the light out and closes the door for the last time.

    Just a closing thought..
    .

Indeed, it is hard to trust anyone who has Multiple operators running his persona, with widely varying proficiency with the. English language.

Today you speak perfect English - a nice change from the pidgin gibberish we often hear from you.

Sorry Obama, I don't believe a word of it.

Remember when you said you would close Gitmo? How has that gone? Still holding people there without trial? Does this 'Freedom and liberty' thing only apply when it suits?

If you were serious about closing certain activities regarding spying, then you'd have announced the closure of RAF Menwith Hill and the like.

Oh dear, Obuma is in the shit now! Today’s BsAs Herald has the following:

Brazil to watch Obama 'first step' on spying. Brazil's government called US President Barack Obama's promise to ban spying on leaders of close allies a “first step” and said it would follow the consequences of the US leader's Friday speech closely.

And a picture of Dilma with the broadest smile I have ever seen on her face. I wonder if she has just had something big, hot and throbbing between her legs!

No, not that, a Harley Davidson motorcycle of course.

    :o)

@15 This may be beyond your limited intelligence, but RAF Menwith Hill is an RAF station. That's ROYAL AIR FORCE. Think Obama has the final say, do you? I like that we're monitoring everything. People like you constantly reiterate that the entire world hates Britain. Even though many countries seek British assistance when threatened by gibberish-speaking foreign countries? Gibberish is defined as “not English”. Everyone with a basic intelligence speaks English. We are entitled to protect ourselves.
@16 No, it was the thought of all those male secretaries. Two at a time now that she won't be monitored? And the gargles!
